Thursday Journal with Neet.

Another rushed one done the night before and this time with Tim Holtz snarky words of 'If it requires pants or a bra, it's not happening today' Not an easy one this week. It's New Years Eve and Janet and her friend Grace are going to a fancy dress party in the evening. Grace hadn't a clue what to go as and asked Janet if she could help out with an idea or two. Janet was really into films and loved some of the older type films and suggested Grace go for someone like Grace Kelly or Audrey Hepburn. Grace like modern films and the only thing she could think of and not letting Janet and her ideas down she said " If it requires pants and a bra, it's not going to happen today" Janet didn't really understand, but then realised that it didn't look as if Grace had a bra on today and was wearing clothes not suited to the snowy weather they were having. The boots would be ok for the snow but not the skimpy outfit Grace was wearing, she didn't like to inquire if Grace had pants on under those shorts. Not being able to think of someone who could fit that requirement and not be embarrassed to be seen with, Janet gave up and told Grace she would have to think of something herself.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The snarky comment this week is a ‘ I may be wrong, but I doubt it’  A bit last minute this week, I don't know where the time goes. I have used a snowy scene through the window so I can link this the Jo's theme of Snowy Winter on Art Journal Journey. Meg and her little sister Jane have just finished decorating the artificial Christmas tree and are trying their best not to look at the presents under the tree to see who they are from and try to guess what they are.  Not that I ever did that of course, Oh actually I still do. Meg doesn't believe in Father Christmas anymore and can't believe that Jane still does. They were in a deep conversation about presents and what they hoped to get. Jane wanted a new bike and was a bit concerned that it wouldn't go down the chimney in Santas sack. Meg said, "well as it's mum and dad that buy all the presents I wouldn't worry about it" Suddenly realising what she had said and before Jane started crying she tried to explain that as Santa is so busy he had to ask some of the parents to deliver them for him, especially the larger ones. Hoping that that would satisfy Jane who was looking very dubious. Meg said "I may be wrong, but I doubt it" The last bit under her breath, with a louder bit for Jane which was "but I don't think so, Santa will be really busy this year.

Have a lovely Christmas and a happy, healthy 2023 xx

Thursday Journal with Neet

Janet was doing her sister who had just been widowed a big favour. This consisted of looking after Alfie her sisters little boy. More of a little monster as far as Janet was concerned, and she was having trouble finding very much she liked about him. He was an only child, spoilt and used to getting his own way. Janet was relieved she only had him on the occasional weekend. This Saturday the snow was on the ground and it was a clear bright day, so Janet thought Alfie might like to play outside in the snow, but no, he wanted to stay inside and watch cartoons on the television. She took all their outdoor clothes off and hung them up in the cloakroom, and made herself a cup of tea. No sooner had that been achieved when Alfie changed his mind and wanted to make some snowballs. On go the outdoor clothes again and out they go. Janet didn't like the cold, but was willing to put up with it if it kept Alfie occupied for more than five minutes. Five minutes after complaining of cold feet and hands Alfie wanted to go in again and Janets patience was wearing thin. She loved the sun and the warm weather and said to no one in particular " I need a six month vacation, twice a year" That would get her out of looking after Alfie, but it was all a pipe dream. She had to work and couldn't afford to live abroad for months on end, but it was nice to dream.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

The snarky words from Tim Holtz today are 'I survived another meeting that should have been an email' That sounds familiar to me, as I have sat through many meetings that could have been dealt with in a few sentences on an email. Corrine has been at such a meeting and had arranged to meet Angela and Mary to go into town for some late Christmas shopping. She hadn't been able to message them as they were not allowed to use their mobile phones whilst the meeting was in progress. She had however let them know she would be late as soon as she got out of the room. Angela and Mary were waiting in their usual place just on the edge of their town where they could catch the bus there for the city shopping centre. It had begun to snow and they were looking at the snow covered hills and slowly freezing to the spot. By the time Corrine arrived the two girls were ready to have a real grumble at her, even though they knew it was not her fault. Before they could utter one Corrine quickly said " I survived another meeting that should have been an email" There wasn't a lot they could say, so quietly waited for the bus, hoping the snow wouldn't get any worse.

Thursday journal with Neet

Not wanting to get up too early to see what the new theme was on Art Journal Journey I am now having to do a quick re-hash on the background I had already done. The words this week are ' SHHHHHH no one cares' Carol was having a problem with Mason her naughty son. He had been moaning the whole morning about going out to play in the snow. Mason has a really bad cold and should be in school, but couldn't see the problem in going out to play in the snow. After all he wouldn't be in contact with any of his pals. His mum was being really mean and he wasn't going give up yet. Carol was trying to explain to Mason that going out and getting cold was not a good idea when you had a bad cold. Mason was getting bored and told his mum that she sounded just like his grandma and he was going to tell all his friends and teachers that she was really mean. Carol was getting mad and told him to Shhhh, no one cares, and I think they would be on my side especially your dad and Grandparents.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

The words this week are 'Excuse me, here is your nose, I found it in my business' and are not very easy to illustrate and write a story about. My background is made with the remnants of some paint left on a stencil and wiped off onto the page with a baby wipe. I have added some collage at the bottom before adhering the figures and words to the page.

Bethan is a clothes designer for a well known store in their town, and her friend Valerie are both in Bethan's house looking through her latest designs. She is modelling one and Valerie obviously doesn't think very much of it. "For a start ' she said, "why are your wearing a hat that looks like an umbrella when you are wearing a sundress, it looks ridiculous" "I have also had a look at some of the other designs that are still in the first stages of the final design and they are just too way-out for such a sleepy backwater town like this. I think you should rethink all of them, I certainly wouldn't wear any of them" "I'm not asking you to wear any of them, said Bethan and excuse me, here is your nose, I found it in my business" Valerie was obviously not on the same wave length as Bethan and it looks as if they have totally different tastes in clothes. The best thing Valerie can do is to agree to differ and try not to say anything else, which will be very difficult.

Tag Tuesday - Put a saying on it

Another tag for my theme on Tag Tuesday, hugs time using Crafty Individual stamps.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The snarky Tim Holtz words this week are 'I plan my whole day around the possibility of a nap' My background was made with acrylic paint left over from a painting I had just finished. I brayered it on and scratched into it. I collaged a border around it and added the figure and wording. I can now link it with Bluebeard and Elizabeth's theme on Art Journal Journey where the theme is collage, food and drink.

Enid has a rather boring life of a housewife with no hobbies. She has got into the habit of writing a list of jobs to do for each day of the week, but doing less on the weekends when hopefully her husband with take her out for a meal or a visit to somewhere interesting. Monday this week started with stripping the bed and washing the bedding. After this if she can fit it in the towels can go into the wash next. The lounge needs a good vacuuming and dusting, which means all her little collections need to come off the shelves. It's times like this that she wished she hadn't started collecting so many small pieces. After lunch the next job is to remake the bed, and clean the hob after making such a mess of it last night. Enid is now behind with her list as the hob wasn't on Mondays list. Onto the next job which is getting dinner ready, lay the table and make herself look presentable. By this time she has had enough, especially as she plans her whole day around the possibility of a nap.

Tag Tuesday - Add a saying/quote

I am hosting Tag Tuesday for the next two weeks and have chosen Add a saying/quote to your tag. My first tag is on haberdashery and has a lot of sewing type ephemera. The second and third ones have distress inked backgrounds and Tim Holtz vintage figures. The third one the quote is on a water-coloured piece of card with the quote embossed with black embossing powder.

I am unable to comment on some blogs and I seem unable to rectify this at the moment, so I am not ignoring some of you. I think Elizabeth is having the same problem.

A penny for your thoughts seems a little pricey are the Tim Holtz snarky words for this week. I have used some collage on the background so I can link this to Bluebeard and Elizabeths theme of collage/ food and drink on Art Journal Journey.

Astrid and her cousin Glenys are having an in depth discussion about politics, the state of the world and men. After a while Glenys sat on the floor and went very quiet. She had recently had huge a problem with her latest boyfriend, but had kept the knowledge from her cousin. It hadn't been a very good experience and she really didn't want to let Astrid know what an idiot she had been. She really should have looked more into his background. After four months of seeing him regularly, Glenys had found out he was married with two small children. She was absolutely mortified and couldn't cope with telling anyone, especially family. She knew her parents and cousin would get mad with her, so she just sat quietly thinking about it. Astrid was getting somewhat impatient with her silence on the subject of men as she wanted to hear all about Glenys’s new boyfriend, and was beginning to think perhaps it wasn't worth listening to. The only thing that came into her head was to say to Glenys "A penny for your thoughts seems a little pricey at the moment"

Thursday Journal with Neet

The words this week are If you met my family you would understand. I am linking this to Art Journal Journey where Elizabeth and Bluebeard have chosen Collage fodder and/or food and drink as their theme. I have collaged the whole page and then added my Dylusion figures and text on top.   Andrea has been to visit her new friend Natalie and this was her first visit to their house. She knew her new friend was a bit different, but how different she didn't realise until she arrived. Natalies parents were out and Andrea was ushered straight up to Natalies bedroom so they could have a good chat and listen to some music. Andrea came from a fairly normal family and had had an uneventful life so far. When she entered the room she didn't know where to look next. The whole room looked like an explosion in a paint shop, every colour seemed to be represented, and the walls were all different colours and looked like a tin of paint had just been thrown at them. Andrea didn't quite know what to say, apart from " It's very colourful, how did you make the walls look like that ?" She thought that was quite polite in the circumstances. Natalie said "Oh I just threw a tin of paint all over them and moved the paint about a bit with my hands" "Gosh don't your parents mind"asked Andrea. " Good heavens no said Natalie "If you met my parents you would understand"

Thursday Journal with Neet.

This week the words are 'Where's the unsubscribe button to adulthood'. Cara has had enough of her small daughters temper tantrums and as its approaching Halloween she is determined not to do anything special in the way of treats or trips around the neighbour's trick or treating. As far as Cara is concerned, Daisy does not deserve any treats this year. Cara had told her to tidy her bedroom and if she did she could help decorate the house ready for Halloween. Instead of tidying the room Daisy had painted the walls in all the colours of Halloween and half the carpet as well. This paint episode had also splashed all over the clothes that still littered the floor and on her new duvet cover. Cara didn't know where to start to clean it up, and having given Daisy a good telling off, she just sat on the pumpkin and wondered where she could find the unsubscribe button to adulthood from. I based this story on a poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. There was a little girl, who had a little curl right in the middle of her forehead, when she was good, she was very, very  good, but when she was bad, she was horrid. Apparently he based it on his wife !!

Thursday Journal with Neet

'Hey, train wreck, isn't this your station' are the words this week. I'm not sure that I know what that means exactly, so I am taking it as a bit if a mess or disaster. Diana has a friend coming round for a coffee before they go out on a Halloween night. When Alice turns up with her daughter Sophie,  Diana can't believe her eyes. She didn't want to dress up herself but was quite happy to walk around with Alice and her daughter who she was pleased to see was looking extremely ready for Halloween. On the other hand Alice looked like train wreck, her clothes were all the colours that didn't match and she even had dark glasses on. As it was night time that was a bit odd. and a witches hat would have looked more appropriate than that awful red thing she has on her head. Diana must had looked somewhat horrified and Alice asked her what was wrong. " Hey, train wreck, isn't this your station" said Diana, who had visions of people being more scared of Alice than Sophie. She just had to put a brave face on it and go out with them. She now wished she had dressed up and had a mask over her face, at least then people wouldn't recognise her.

Thursday Journal with Neet

Our words this week from Tim Holtz snarky sayings are 'I've got a good heart, but this mouth' Sandra and Beth have been discussing their last session of baby sitting, they both had older sisters and baby sat for them when they could. The money came in useful and they both quite enjoyed looking after their niece and nephew. Sandra's was a niece called April and Beth's a nephew called Harry. Sandra was telling Beth how she had told April the story of Cinderella and how the fairy godmother had cast a magic spell so that she could go to the ball like her elder sisters had done. She would meet a handsome prince, BUT she had to leave before midnight or her dress would turn to rags and the coach into a pumpkin pulled by mice. As you know she lost one of her slippers in her rush to leave before midnight, but eventually the prince found her again by trying to find the owner of the slipper. April was enchanted by the story and had visions of the same thing happening to her. It would be wonderful to meet a prince and live happily ever after, just like in the story. Sandra of course didn't believe in things like that and before April fell asleep she told her that things like that didn't happen in real life and she would probably never even see a prince let alone fall in love with one. At this point April burst into tears and could not be consoled. When Sandra told Beth about it Beth was a bit angry with her and told her that is was mean to tell April that. "You know me Beth,  I've a good heart, but this mouth" said Sandra.

The theme on Art Journal Journal this month, set by Elle is Fairytales, Fables, and Folklore - tell me a story.

On Tag Tuesday the theme set byMichele is Something Spooky. Here is my contribution for this week.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

The words this week are 'Please cancel my subscription to your issues'  Gina, lounging on the floor and taking it easy has a visitor, her friend Sophia. Not only can Gina not be bothered getting up to greet her but she takes one look at Sophia and moans under her breath. " What on earth have you got on your head she asks, and immediately wishes she hadn't as Sophia launches into her pre Halloween tale. "I bought this mask in Venice and I knew I just had to wear it for Halloween this year, isn't it wonderful, you really should dress up as well you would really enjoy it. We all get together and have a wonderful time walking around the streets and showing everyone how to dress up properly for the occasion" "You could take my black cat with you as well, at least that's authentic" replies Gina. " I think there are two rooks or crows up in that tree as well, they go with halloween don't they ?" "There's no need to be sarcastic Gina, we just like to have a good time and it's a tradition" By now Gina has heard enough and says" Please cancel my subscription to your issues" Gina had heard enough and just wanted some peace and quiet, and the cat didn't look very impressed either.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The words this week are 'I wish more people were fluent in silence' Ingrid was known for saying the first thing that came into her head and today was no exception. The two girls had just come back from a school reunion, which Anna had really enjoyed. She had met up with some of her old friends and had a good catch up on old times. They hadn't been to a reunion before and didn't know if they really wanted to go, as they hadn't kept in touch with any of them. They managed to get round to most of them, carefully avoided any that might be a problem. Ingrid was in full moan mode and Anna left her to it. Anna was going round to find out what careers her old friends had decided on and had they got married, had children, and where they lived now. Anna was really enjoying herself and wished she had gone to more of the reunions. Ingrid on the other hand was grumbling about everything, as were some of the others. When Suzanne and Ingrid finally left and went for a coffee they discussed the evening at the reunion. Anna loved it and said so. Ingrid wished she had never gone and hardly had a good word to say about any of the girls. After listening to Suzanne going on for about half an hour Anna had had enough and said "I wish more people were fluent in silence" Anna doubted whether Suzanne realised that it was aimed at her.

Tag Tuesday - Book/ Book Pages.

A great theme on Tag Tuesday, set by our team mate Pinky. I have used a lot of bits from my scrap basket which never seems to get any smaller. They are all collaged onto the tag and I have added a face I drew while ago. I have just come back from three days in Cornwall, and the traffic on the way home was awful, it took me six hours, so this was done after I had settled down. I am off to Pembrokeshire for a week on Saturday so wanted to get this done before I went there. I will be pleased to stop wandering around the UK and get back to normal. !!!!

Thursday Journal with Neet

I am in Cornwall for a few days so had to this and the next one in advance ( I will be in Pembrokeshire for that one)  The words this week are 'It's a beautiful day to leave me alone' and is another one of Tim Holtz snarky sayings.  Suzanne has gone for a walk with her dog and her friend Diane and is all dressed up as if she is going to town or somewhere posh. Diane has just dressed for a walk as it was a lovely day, and a walk in the country was just what she needed. She had had a really stressful week at work and needed the fresh air and some exercise to make her relax. She couldn't understand why Suzanne was in long sleeves with a huge handbag and big clumpy boots, as well as a matching hat of course. She couldn't resist mentioning it all too Suzanne, even though she knew she had a rather silly hat on herself. Suzanne immediately retaliated with "It's a beautiful day to leave me alone" Diane turned her back on her and walked home.

Tag Tuesday - Roses

Another tag for my theme of roses on Tag Tuesday. This time I used an already done background and used a rose stencil on top.

Thursday, 15 September 2022

Thursday Journal with Neet

We are starting a new set of sayings today, found by Neet. They are snarky comments from Tim Holtz. The first one is 'I am fabulous'  Suzanne has just had a row with her boyfriend who seems to be getting really fed up with her putting all her pets first and letting him down. It's "I have to take the cat to the vet, I have to go to town to get the dog a coat for the Winter, the bird cage needs cleaning out, the dog has to be walked every day" and so it goes on. He has had enough, he likes animals but doesn't want to have his life ruled by them. He had gone round to see her to see if she fancied going on a holiday to Cyprus. All he got from that was " I can't possibly leave all my animals and there's no one I can trust to look after them properly" Tom said to her as he's was leaving the room "you'll be lucky to find any one with an attitude like that" Suzanne just turned her back on him and said, no problem, I am fabulous.

Thursday Journal with Neet

' I used to drink, but that was hours ago ' are the words this week. Zoe was having a break from doing absolutely nothing when her friend Hazel popped round for a chat, well mainly to tell Zoe about her latest boy friend. Zoe didn't really want to know and was doing her very best to look interested. Her eyes kept trying to close and she was having trouble keeping upright on the bean bag. Of course Hazel had noticed Zoe was a bit wobbly and accused her of being a bit drunk. Even Zoe's dog was keeping an eye on her in case she fell on him. I am not drunk Zoe said. "I used to drink, but that was hours ago" Zoe did think Hazel was being a bit mean, and" how many people go around with a bird on their head" she said to Hazel. Zoe didn't think her boyfriend would be around long if that's what she did.

Tag Tuesday - Roses

I love roses and have some lovely ones in my garden, so have chosen them as my theme on Tag Tuesday for the next two weeks.  The first ones is a collage with a trellis and 3D roses, the second one is a collage with stamped stylised roses and three 3D ones. The third is a picture of some roses I painted, with a magazine picture and stamped images at the bottom.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The words this week are ' I thought I couldn't love you less - you proved me wrong' Angela has been looking after her nephew Malcolm while her sister is in hospital having a little sister for Malcolm. He is not pleased and has been naughty ever since his dad dropped him off. First of all he didn't want a silly sister, he wanted a brother his age that he could play with. Angela had tried to explain to him that they were very small at first and took a few years before she could play with him. In that case, as far as he was concerned she could cancel the baby and get one that was a bit bigger and could play with him straight away. Angela was beginning to loose patience with him, and he was getting more devious and naughty by the minute. Even when he was small and she looked after him, he would empty the cupboards that he could reach, often breaking things that fell out. This time he had really made her angry as he had gone next door and let out their pet bird, no doubt with the help of Angela's cat who was looking very guilty. Now he was just looking for things to do wrong and Angela wondered if it might help if she took him to the hospital and showed him his sister Elsbeth. Looking him she decided to wait a while and see if she could find something else to distract him with.

Neet is hosting Art Journal Journey this month and as I didn't know what Neet was going to choose for her theme, I had to leave the theme out of this page until this morning. Luckily my story fitted the bill with the addition of a bird and a cat, and an extra story to put with the original one.

'I will try to be nice to you, but often my mouth gets in the way, these are the words this week, and as Dylusion images don't include many children images, I decided to use these stencil/masks and used them as silhouettes. Martha on the right has just spent all this weeks pocket money on a new hairstyle, and her friend Maisie who has naturally curly hair is just looking at her with astonishment. "What on earth do you think you look like Martha, your hair looks like lampshade, it's only missing the frill at the bottom" Maisie said without an ounce of kindness. "That was really cruel" said Martha, "I don't comment on your hair" "I'm sorry" said Maisie "I will try to be nice to you, but often my mouth gets in the way"

When I was in Junior school my mum left me at the hairdressers and popped round to a shop. The hairdresser cut it at a very crooked angle at the back and when I found out I didn't want to go to school until it grew out. I did have to go though.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The words this week are.'I don't play hard too get, I play never going to happen' Hazel and her friend  Vicki had gone out for a walk, and Vicki would insist on bringing up the subject of her brother who was in the class above them in school. He fancied Hazel and Vicki was trying to persuade her to go on a date with him. He was quite a nice lad and very clever but one thing put Hazel off. Vicki tried one more attempt, "please Hazel just give him a chance you are being really silly and playing hard to get."No" said Hazel, " he's very nice but he's a lot shorter than me and I don't play hard to get, I play never going to happen"

I am linking this to Chris's theme of When we were young on Art Journal Journey When I was in my teens my brother came home one day, (he was two years younger than me and went to a different school), with the suggestion that I should go on a date with his friend Peter who was my age. No way was I going to do that, he was as short as me ( which was in those days 5ft 1 1/2 inches tall (short) So the above story is actually based on fact.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

The words this week are 'I'm sorry I upset you, I'll try not to be right next time' Sue's neighbour Pauline had come round to have what Sue thought was gong be a friendly chat. They had been neighbours and friends since Sue had moved there seven years ago. Since then Sue had had a baby and Jason was now five years old. Sue had a sinking feeling that the visit was something to do with Jason. Pauline started talking as soon as she entered the room, "I'm sorry Sue but Jason keeps kicking his football into our garden and it's knocking down all my plants. He is definitely doing it on purpose. I don't think so Sue said, he wouldn't do that, he's a very good boy. Pauline kept going on about it and Sue was getting very upset. In the end Pauline stormed out of the room saying "I'm sorry I upset you, I'll try not to be right next time"

When my brother and I were kids we had a neighbour who lived on the opposite corner to us. Our games usually entailed a ball game, it was just the size of the ball that changed. There was a a lot of space from across the road but the ball always seemed to land in our neighbours garden. They didn't have any kids and he always told dad about it and grumbled. In the end we were too scared to go and ask for it back.

Thursday Journal with Neet

On Art Journal Journey this month, Chris has chosen 'When we were young' as her theme. The words to use this week for our journal page are ' So much to do, so little people to do it for me

'Malcolm and his brother Freddie have been given the task of clearing out the weeds at the bottom of the lawn and as Malcolm knows Freddie will be absolutely useless at it so it was up to him. Perhaps he could just persuade  Freddie to pick them up and take them to the rubbish heap. He had also been asked very nicely by his mum to clear the floor of their bedroom as it was covered in toys, tiny bits of Lego, dirty clothes, and empty cups and plates. The boys hadn't allowed her to go in the room as they said they were doing secret things in there. In fact it was such a mess she hadn't been able to vacuum it for a few weeks, She dreaded to think what the carpet looked like underneath it all. Malcolm was beginning to feel the pressure and had decided to tackle the weeds first. As expected Freddie wasn't being any use at all. Malcolm sighed loudly and to no one in particular said " So much to do, and so little people to do it for me" I do remember weeding my dads veg plot without being asked, the only problem was that I fed the Spring onions to next doors chickens, who probably didn’t even eat onions, not even the green bit.

Art Journal Journey - Doors and/or arches.

Another page for my theme of doors and/or arches on Art Journal Journey. This time a weathered door that opens to reveal a lady in despair because she hasn't heard from her fiancé who is away on a business trip abroad.

Thursday Journal with Neet

This week the words are 'What ever you have to say can wait until you're smarter. This will be the last one to fit in with my theme of Doors and/or arches on Art Journal Journey

Malcolm had been playing in his tent/tepee and his sister Anna had called him out for a chat. What she meant by that was really I need someone to hear all my moans and groans about everything. Anna started off about her fiancé who was more interested in football than her and had refused to go shopping with her for things for their new flat. He has also made arrangements to go fishing with his mates on their first anniversary of dating each other. Apart from those two things he also never noticed when she wore new clothes, and she was spending quite a lot of money making herself look really good. If he keep spending money on football and fishing, she would continue with her spending as well. "What do you think Malcolm, being male you probably have some thoughts on these subjects" Malcolm opened his mouth to give her his words of wisdom and Anna said ""What ever you have to say can wait until you're smarter" With that Malcom opened the door to his tent and prepared to leave her to it

Art Journal Journey - Doors and/or arches.

Another page for my theme of doors and/or arches on Art Journal Journey. I couldn't possibly do a theme on doors without some beach huts, these bring back memories of childhood when we used to rent one every year for our holidays on the Lincolnshire coast.

Thursday Journal with Neet

Another page for our Thursday Journal and to fit in with my theme on Art Journal Journey which is Doors and/or arches. The words this week are 'My dentist told me I need a crown, I was like, I know, right This is very appropriate for me as I broke a front tooth yesterday. It has been dodgy for a few weeks and now need capping I think. Better that than out.  Alice has taken her friend Jane to the dentists, she hates going to the dentist and is secretly terrified. Perhaps if she went more often it wouldn't be such a trial. Jane sat patiently waiting for her friend skimming through some of the usual magazines they all seem to have, and all out of date which wasn't unusual. When Alice came out she was looking a bit bemused and said to Jane " My dentist told me I need a crown, I was like, I know, right ? Jane then tried to explain to Alice that he meant one of her teeth needed crowning not that she needed a crown for her head. Alice really didn't get it, and could actually show him her crown she had brought with her, as she wanted to wear it for a fancy dress party they were going to, and needed to see if it went with the new outfit she was going to buy.

I am linking this to my theme on Art Journal Journey.
