Maroon is the word this week on Every Inchie Monday. There is the colour maroon, or you can maroon someone on a desert island, so I went with both of them. For the painted one I used Derwent intense crayons.

Tag Tuesday -- Ephemera
On Tag Tuesday, the theme is ephemera ( short lived--transitory), so I hunted out some old tickets, stamps, cigar label, etc. I placed the tag on a piece of packing which I had coloured slightly, and embossed with some verdigris embossing powder. The main tag is distress inks, stamped with a script stamp. I also added some old buttons to finish it off.

Every Inchie Monday -- Maid
This week on Every Inchie Monday it's 'Maid'. The only thing I could think of, apart from drawing a whole maid was to do the apron. The sewn one is in a fine cotton, and is an older style. The drawn one is a modern saucy one.

Artful Times -- Made on wood
My daughter wanted two boxes decorated for her birthday, Karen supplied the wooden boxes and asked for one of them to be Autumn/leaf style colours and the other one green. By the time I managed to do them I had forgotten the second colour. The first one was no problem, but the second one, my husband (no artist) suggested I did it in the colours of her newly decorated cinema room. White, Black and red, GULP, I'm not happy working in those colours. These boxes fitted in well with the theme on Artful Times.
I painted both with gesso, and set about painting the first one with Fresco paints. I then applied some texture paste, and stamped into it with leaf stamps. I then added metal leaves, that I embossed, and coloured with alcohol inks. I stamped some sayings on the smooth bits. The camera photo has come out a lot paler than the actual box.
For this one, I painted it white, and used texture paste through a stencil for some texture. I used paint through stencils as well. I added some cogs in red and black metal, and stamped some of the Paperartsy time sayings on to finish it off.

Tag Tuesday -- Tag on tag
For the theme of tag on tag for Tag Tuesday, I have made two sea tags. They both have distress ink backgrounds, and the smaller one a layer of crumpled tissue paper. The seaweed is all stamped, and the fish and seahorses, stamped on separate card, and coloured with watercolour crayons. The top tag fits behind the paper clay shells at the bottom.

Every Inchie Monday -- Lavender
On Every Inchie Monday the word is Lavender.
For the sewn one I made a lavender bag from very fine white fabric, and painted a spray of lavender on the front. I put a very small amount of dried lavender in and stitched the top, with some ribbon added to finish it off.
The card one is simply a painted version.

Tag Along -- Use pink ( A little or a lot)
Pink is not my colour, but the challenge on Tag Along was to use pink. I sprayed the background with Dylusions pink, and then decided it was too pink. I then toned it down with gesso, using stencils.I then added my image, and all the bits of lace and flowers.

Tag Tuesday -- The 1950's
On Tag Tuesday the subject is the 1950's.
The 1950's remind me of my Dad having to buy me a radio, so it would send me to sleep, hopefully before he went to bed, so he could come and turn it off. Radio Luxembourg and Radio Caroline were my bedtime music choices. I still don't sleep well. and now I just go into my workroom and craft.
My tag consists of images from the 50's including Marilyn Monroe, James Dean, Elvis, Cliff, and TV classics. Does anyone remember Journey into space on the radio?
Those were the days, lots of happy memories.

Tag Along -- Wings
It's a while since I joined in with tag Along, but the theme of wings gave me the opportunity to make some bird tags. This one is a double sided one of owls, one of my favourite birds.
They are both inked and stamped, with the bird images collaged on.

Every Inchie Monday -- Legal
I have been away for a long weekend, so I'm late again. I must figure out how to schedule it in advance.
On Every Inchie Monday the word is legal. For the sewing one I have made a wig that they wear in court, with felt for the face, and wool for the wig.
The card one is an old manuscript with the official seal broken, and the edges torn.

Artful Times DT piece -- Clean and simple
I have made two cards for this challenge on Artful Times, one a birthday card, and the other a sympathy card. For both of them I have ripped some card as a backing for simple stamping. I love the poppy stamp, and it makes a very good sympathy card. The other stamp is a vintage faded piece of a postcard, again a very useful stamp.

Tag Tuesday -- White on white
I have been away on a course, and then had the three grandchildren here for the weekend. I am therefore very late getting this onto the site.
The challenge on Tag Tuesday was white on white. I used scraps of fabric and yarn, with a few die cuts out of pelmet vilene, which were added at the end. I just tried to get as much texture on as possible. A few beads and sequins add a bit of sparkle. The base of the tag is pelmet vilene, I really should get shares in the firm, as I use yards of it.
Every Inchie Monday -- Khaki
Not a colour I would normally use, but as khaki was the subject on Every Inchie Monday, so khaki it is.
For the sewing one, I made a pair of khaki trousers, and no I didn't put a zip in them. For the card one I drew a soldier in his khaki uniform.
