At a course with Celyn Textiles, Sheila taught us to make a 3D vessel using scraps of shiny and glittery fabrics, machine embroidery, and cocktail and bamboo sticks. I love the idea, but am running out of space to put things, maybe some hooks in the ceiling might be the order of the day. I'll add it my hubbies ever growing list of jobs to do.

Fabric tag
I have made this fabric tag for a swap on an art forum I belong to. I haven't swapped anything for ages and have left it to the last minute.
The base fabric is a gelli print with coloured lutradur on top. I did some machine embroidery on top and the used a heat gun to burn away some of the lutradur. I then added some bits of tyvek and some machine embroidered bits left over from another project. Some buttons were added to finish off.

Tag Tuesday -- Down on the farm
All I could manage this week are chickens on an egg farm. I didn't have any stamps for farm animals so chickens it is. The background is distress inks, and at the bottom I embossed some grass. I used a Crafty Individuals stamp for the main image and a Chocolate Baroque one for the cockerel. I coloured then with Derwent Intense crayons. I added some china eggs in the grass carefully guarded by the cockerel.

Artful Times DT piece. -- Party party
This challenge will be the last one for Artful Times as we are closing it down. There are so many challenge sites now, it has made it difficult to keep going.
For this one I have made a card with the theme of Alice in Wonderland, what a party that was.
The background is a gelli print and I have used a page from the chapter heading in the book ( A mad tea-party) I stamped all the images and coloured them in with Inktense crayons.

Tag Tuesday -- Music
A very simple, literal tag from me this week, as not only is my brain not working , but our internet only works for short periods of time. If you don't catch it in those few minutes you can do the Spring cleaning, weed the garden and go shopping while it sulks and won't play. It was bad when we lived in Wales, but this is coming a very close second.
I hadn't a clue what to do for this music theme, and all I could think of was sheet music and an instrument. Luckily I had three music type stamps and embossed them with black. Now I've finished it I can think of several other things I could have done.

Some more deco pages
This time the recipient wanted her pages to be of a nature theme, and as my flower stamps were out I decided to use them. The backgrounds are distress inks and I stamped the poppies are using the watercolour technique. I have added a die cut layer of grass at the bottom. The lower one is of seed heads with stamped grass.
Artful Times Challenge DT piece -- Hot pink and orange.
For my DT piece this time I have done a double page for my art journal. This is where I jot down the art I did for each day. I hasten to add that there are a lot of blank squares in the last few months.
The background was wetted with water and Brusho powder sprinkled on top. I let the powders do their own thing and when dry I stamped the edges and then applied the rectangles for writing on.
