Thursday Journal with Neet

Our words this week from Tim Holtz snarky sayings are 'I've got a good heart, but this mouth' Sandra and Beth have been discussing their last session of baby sitting, they both had older sisters and baby sat for them when they could. The money came in useful and they both quite enjoyed looking after their niece and nephew. Sandra's was a niece called April and Beth's a nephew called Harry. Sandra was telling Beth how she had told April the story of Cinderella and how the fairy godmother had cast a magic spell so that she could go to the ball like her elder sisters had done. She would meet a handsome prince, BUT she had to leave before midnight or her dress would turn to rags and the coach into a pumpkin pulled by mice. As you know she lost one of her slippers in her rush to leave before midnight, but eventually the prince found her again by trying to find the owner of the slipper. April was enchanted by the story and had visions of the same thing happening to her. It would be wonderful to meet a prince and live happily ever after, just like in the story. Sandra of course didn't believe in things like that and before April fell asleep she told her that things like that didn't happen in real life and she would probably never even see a prince let alone fall in love with one. At this point April burst into tears and could not be consoled. When Sandra told Beth about it Beth was a bit angry with her and told her that is was mean to tell April that. "You know me Beth,  I've a good heart, but this mouth" said Sandra.

The theme on Art Journal Journal this month, set by Elle is Fairytales, Fables, and Folklore - tell me a story.

Nice ladies and nice story Wendy. I think that quote is true for so many of us, isn't it? Ha ha. I love your page too; that story works great with Elle's challenge. Thanks for sharing with us at AJJ. hugs-Erika

You can se I am FAR behind trying to catch up after jury duty. I LOVE the Cinderella story and how you tied it into the snarky saying you had to work with. It's a great entry for Elle's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.
