Thursday Journal with Neet

Getting out of bed is almost always the wrong decision. These are the words this week and I know just how that feels, especially in the Winter.                                                                                                Pauline had been out with her friends for the evening, and as she didn't have to drive she had had too much to drink. She thinks it was just wine, but in the morning she wasn't so sure. She had heard that if you have another drink in the morning after your hangover isn't so bad, she's half way through and feels even worse. She thinks she looks and feels like the image in the mirror which is exactly like the little guy on the floor.

I am entering this in Art Journal Journey where the theme 'Inspired by' was chosen by Eileen.  For this one I was inspired by Eileen The Artful Crafter's blog who sadly died last month. Erika and Chris from admin have taken over and are keeping the same theme as a tribute to Eileen. I therefore added a glass of wine, just as Eileen was fond of doing with her posts for T day.

You will not believe this but I almost used that same head. I just hadn't got one and was not in the mood for getting my stamps out and starting all over.
Love how you have interpreted the quote - can't say you will ever feel like that yourself with your non drinking habits. Here's to being sober all the time.
A great page, I love that blobby figure that suggests a "tongue" and how it feels after a night out on the booze.
Hugs, Neet xx

Hi Wendy :) That is a lovely piece. I remember the days of thinking that a sip of the hair of the dog that bit me would cure me, but alas, only time and a few Tylenols helped lol!

Not only is this a great entry for yours and Neet's challenge, it is a wonderful tribute to Eileen and our theme at Art Journal Journey. I love how you based the story around the wine and how much Eileen enjoyed wine. Thank you so much for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey, dear.

The little guy on the floor! With the blue legs! He is the very illustration of a hangover. Great background too for the day after the night before. I like her hairdo (or just got up hair?) and I love her trousers, just my kind of clothes. Nice to add the glass of wine for Eileen.

Great background, image with wine glass, story/words, and tribute to Eileen, Wendy. I have had a few days (when much younger) when I felt like your girl and did look like the little guy on the floor - so I can relate to her. Super creative and fun to see what you came up with here! Hugz
