For Paint Party Friday this week I have painted a Jay, belonging to the same family as the crow, raven, rook, magpie and jackdaw. The blue feathers are a wonderful colour, and when we lived in Wales these birds were quite common and I found a lot of the blue feathers.

Your jay is beautiful. We have a lot of them here, I love to see the flash of blue in their feathers. Have a great weekend, hugs, Valerie
How beautiful the drawn jay. I like them very much. In the old apartment I used to watch him in front of the balcony on an old oak tree and the boys too.
I wish you a happy 1st of May, hug Elke
Beautifull bird painting. In german we call it "Eichelhäher". Happy PPF Frauke
Beautiful jay, did not know they were in the crow and raven family.
Jays are such intelligent birds. I haven't seen one for sometime.
We have both Gray and Blue Jays here.
Beautiful painting, Wendy.
Enjoy the weekend
We have here a BLUE GREY TANAGER, some folk on the island of Tobago call them Blue Jean (seen a lot around the September month)
HAPPY PPF
Much💛love
great bird art Wendy. Our blue jays here in the US are larger and have lots of blue feathers. Happy PPF!
It's years since I've seen one of these in real life. Beautiful art.
