Thursday Journal with Neet

The last one before Christmas and we are in the festive spirit with this one. The words are 'You can't drink all day, if you don't start in the morning' Trudy is starting the day how she means to go on by having her first drink at 8.30 in the morning. She had woken her cat Jasper up earlier by opening the sideboard doors looking for all the bottles of wine she could find.  He's sitting on the floor yawning as Trudy starts her wine-athon. She had worked out with some thought to this, that if she drank too much now she wouldn't have to spend a tedious evening with her old school chums who she really didn't like very much. She would not be capable of driving and would have too bad a headache to go out. Why they had decided to have a get together so close to Christmas she didn't know, after all she had a lot to do before she dragged herself round to her parents who were entertaining a couple of old aunties for Christmas day. It might take more than a few glasses of wine when she went round, as she really didn't want to hear about how things were much better in the old days. Perhaps she could just fall asleep in the corner and no-one would notice. One day she was determined to have Christmas in her own home, not to have to eat turkey or play silly games.

I am entering this on Art Journal Journey where Valeries theme is When one door closes, another one opens

Oh dear! I think Trudy is going to have a problem later in life if she is drinking to this extent. I hope she remembers to feed Jasper the cat when she has polished a few of those bottles off.
A great page Wendy and I recognise Jasper the 'French' cat.
Hope you and yours have a lovely Christmas
Christmas Hugs to all, Neet xxx

Trudy is going to be quite hung over on Christmas when she has to spent time with those aunts. I guess that is her point. Smile. Nice page with that pretty background, and I like how you added the cabinet with those great doors. Thanks for sharing with us at AJJ. And I hope you have a wonderful holiday Wendy. Happy Christmas to you. Hugs-Erika

What a fun page, Wendy! Your Trudy will be very hungover if she drinks all that wine on the sideboard! Great idea for a page, and a fabulous story to go with it! Have a wonderful Christmas! Hugs, Valerie

I loved meeting Trudy and Jasper, but hope she hasn't drunk herself into a stupor by the end of the day. A clever take on the the theme and I love Trudy and her outfit. She fits perfectly in front of the doors to that side cabinet, too. You created a fabulous entry for Valerie's theme at Art Journal Journey. I hope you have a safe, healthy, joyous Christmas, dear Wendy.

Oh Dear! Trudy's in for trouble I think! She should think perhaps that one day she may well be one of those kind of aunts! Hoping that her Christmas isn't as bad as she imagines it will be. Loving that Jasper is keeping a safe distance! Belated Christmas greetings to you, Hugs, Chrisx
