For Paint Party Friday this week I have painted a turnstone. I did this last week as we are in Cornwall on holiday this week, home tomorrow. The weather has been a bit unkind. A day of rain, a day of sun and that is how it has worked all week. We have managed two days on the beach with hardly anybody on them, so that was great. Too windy to paint, but plenty of photos to work with.

My kids have put bird feeders all over my property so maybe I can sit out and try drawing birds again. Yours are always amazing.

I think we call that beauty a Ruddy Turnstone. A bird I have only seen when I travelled. It is one of my favorites. Your photos and the painting is great.
Last week I painted a bird :) A Hoopoe. Also one I never see, I have only seen it flying away and have no shots of my own.
