Thursday Journal with Neet

I am in Cornwall on holiday this week, so I am hoping I can get on my blog during this time. The words this week are " So much to do, and so little desire to do it"and this will be the last page to post on my theme of vintage on Art Journal Journey. I have inked over a previous background with distress inks and stamped some sewing patterns on top. I stamped the dress form, lace and sewing machine on card and adhered them to the page. The figure is a Dylusions one. Astrid is all togged out in her favourite fifties type dress and so wants to make another one. She has the fabric, and the sewing machine. What she doesn't have is the incentive to do it, or a nice sewing pattern. Astrid also has her mum to look after as she has just come out of hospital, and her young sister living with her until their mum is well enough to have her back home. Her garden is full of weeds and she is way behind with the housework. She has just sat down with a cup of coffee and as usual is telling herself off "So much to do - so little desire to do it"

A very fashionable young lady with all her outfit matching. I presume she made the dress she is wearing as she is into sewing.
Hope you are having a lovely time in Cornwall and that the weather is looking kindly on you and it is not as wet as it is here in the north.
Hugs, Neet x

First of all I hope you are having a wonderful time in Cornwall. This lady is very fashionable, and I love how you used that great vintage background with the Dylusion figure. It really works so well Wendy. Sewing was your thing this month, and it was a good choice for vintage. This is really lovely as were all your pages. Thanks for being such a super host. Hugs-Erika
