This week the words are "The only thing I ever have to add is judgement" Not an easy one this week and here I am at 10.30 pm trying to get it done. I had no idea where to start on this one, let alone make it fit with my theme of vintage on Art Journal Journey. I was looking through my limited range of magazines ( I only take a gardening one) and saw this one in a Boots chemists giveaway booklet. It looked sort of vintage to me with that very uncomfortable sofa so went with that as a starting point. Edna has been having a go at Joe her husband for long enough about getting some jobs done around the house instead of dreaming about the cars he can't afford. As he goes out to work as well as her she thinks it only fair to share the household chores. Joe does not agree, and is more than happy to lie on the sofa looking at the three cars on his wish list. Edna on the other hand wants some help to rip off the tatty wallpaper on the wall and Joe keeps asking which car she would prefer. Her answer to that is " The only thing I ever have to add is judgement"
I am entering this in Art Journal Journal for the vintage theme.

Super creative story to wind around the two themes, Wendy. Love that sofa! Very fun page and story. Wonder if he even understood her meaning - probably not....Hugz
That could easily be a 50's sofa he is lounging on. Glad you are struggling too, perhaps we should change the quotes next time we come to a clash with AJJ so it's a bit easier. But I keep going as you keep telling me it's a challenge. For both of us!
Hugs, Neet xx
Great page Wendy! Your story made me smile, although my hubby is usually watching cooking or gardening programmes when I want him to tackle jobs around the house.
You managed to make a super page Wendy. I love Joe on the couch and his vintage car info. Nice take on this tough quote. I hope all is well. Hugs-Erika
I agree that the couch looks very mid-century modern from what I've seen in old ads. And those cars are very vintage, too. Loved the story you told and I hope Joe helps with the wallpaper removal, because it's a very difficult job. Thanks for another fun and humorous entry using your theme at Art Journal Journey, dear.
Fabulous page and story, I always love reading the stories you and Nett think out! Have a great day, hugs, Valerie
A great story and page Wendy, I am in awe of how you and Neet interpret the quotes and then manage to get them to fit your AJJ themes.
