Paint Party Friday Week 24

 On Paint Party Friday this week I have painted a waxwing.  A bit late this week, up to my eyes in too many jobs.

Thursday Journal with Neet

 This week the words are " I thought I had social anxiety, turns out I just hate people" Sophia had always thought she was a bit of a recluse and wasn't keen on things like parties, big organised outings and concerts. Her friends had stopped asking her to join them in their various activities, as she never seemed to be keen to join them. In the end, thinking here was something wrong with her she visited a counsellor. When she arrived home she was talking to her dog and said to him "I thought I had social anxiety, turns out I just hate people" Now to decide what to do about it. Maybe she ought to get another dog or a kitten, but decided to think about it fo a few weeks before deciding.

Tag Tuesday -- Shells

 My turn to host Tag Tuesday for the next two weeks and I have chosen shells. Having been on the coast last week on holiday I have come back with a few shells. I'm a real beach treasure hunter, my husband never know what lurks in the poly bags in the back of the car. The top one is a bit of an abstract seascape with a quote and some shells added. The other two have beach huts on them, another memory from my childhood. The images are all stamped  and the shells added with strong glue. The shells make scanning difficult so they might be a little bit blurred.

Tag Tuesday - Blue and orange

 Tag Tuesdays theme set by Michele is a blue and orange colour challenge. I have been on holiday and am somewhat late doing these. The backgrounds are distress inked and the stamps used are from Lynne Perrella. I went on a course with her once and she a wonderful, funny lady.

 This time a reed bunting for Paint Party Friday and a watercolour I did on holiday in South Wales.

Thursday Journal with Neet

 Guess who left it to the last minute again !! I have a new computer that refuses to talk to my printers, so I am a bit frustrated with it.  " Nope, I checked my receipt, I didn't buy any of your bullsh*t" These are the not so friendly words this week. Amy on the left has been listening for at least an hour about the value of rethinking your life and embracing all the strange (to her) new sayings to improve things. These include phrases like wellness, embracing change, and special ways of eating that improve your life. Amy was very content with the life she has and didn't want to change anything about it.  Freda had gone for all of it and had even made a hat with some of the ideas she now had in her life. Trying to convince Amy was obviously a waste of time, especially as Amy suddenly said "Nope, I checked my receipt, I didn't buy any of your bullsh*t" She didn't like her stupid hat either.                                                                                    As the saying is in type and her hat in different types, I am entering this in Art Journal Journey where Neet's theme is Type.

Paint Party Friday Week 22 Year 11

 This week on Paint Party Friday I have painted a Hawfinch. One of our UK birds that I have never seen.

Thursday Journal with Neet

 I'm on the South Wales coast this week with my son, daughter and the three Grandchildren. My son informs me it's the first family holiday he's been own since he 's been an adult. He doesn't count the two holidays we had every year in Scotland, as his grandparents had a cottage up there.

Anyway back to the quote which is "Hell yeah I've been naughty" Malcolm on the left is the one who has been naughty and is telling his friend Greg what he has been up to. For a start he had stood on the pretend fungi that the village had erected on the village green.  He had then  hung his mum's washing on the bunting that the village had put up for the yearly fair. This had included some very unflattering underwear, and his mum was furious. She had grounded him and he was not allowed to go to the fair. Greg had to try standing on the fungi as well, so Malcolm had been in trouble for that as well, as Greg was not very bright and could have fallen off and hurt himself.                                                                                                      I an entering his in Art Journal Journey where my friend Neet has chosen Type for her theme.

Paint Party Friday Wk 21 Year 11

 A nuthatch this week on Paint Party Friday. Fabulous little birds that my children and grandchildren call the upside down bird as it eats most of it's food with it's head downwards. We occasionally get them here but not as often as we did in Wales.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The words this week are " One day I will rule the world, until then I'm going to bed" I have used an already done page for this, and I am having to do it in a hurry as I will not have a computer for a few days and can't do it all on my iPad.  Sophie has had a promotion at work and is feeling on top of the world, it was only a tiny step up the ladder, but she was really pleased with herself. She had phoned her best friend up ago tell her. Her friend had tried to tell her not to expect too much to change but Sophie replied "One day I will rule the world, until then I am going to bed" I don't think she had really meant that but it sounded very positive to her.
