Tag Tuesday - Anything goes

Valerie's theme for Tag Tuesday is Anything goes. I have made a fabric tag, using some scraps of fabric, lutrador and tyvek.  I added some of my vast collection of buttons in my favourite colours.
I am late putting this on, as I have been finishing off a sewing project for an on-line group.

Thursday Journal with Neet

'I always behave, just not necessarily well' are the words for this week, and I couldn't resist using naughty Malcolm for the star role. The background is a mop up page from ages ago, and a stencil has been used on top. The figures are coloured with watercolour pens. Malcolm looks a child who wouldn't behave very well and admits it. His mum just looks as if she has given up trying to make him behave, as well as his little friend.
I think there are enough geometric shapes to enter this in Art journal Journey where Valerie's theme is geometric shapes.

I was pleased to see some rain this week as my clay soil was cracking and I was having to water the garden. Below are some pictures of my garden.

Art Journal Journey - Geometric shapes

This is a fabric page based on the work of Rebekah Meier and contains quite a few geometric shapes, so I am going to enter it in Art Journal Journey where Valerie's theme is geometric shapes.
I have used various cotton fabrics to make the collage, and printed the picture of the lady onto white fabric. I buttonholed around the edge and it will go in my fabric book of 'work in the style of'

Journal Page with Neet

' I'm sorry we fought, I hate it when you're wrong' are the words for this week. and it means that I have now completed my second large Dylusion journal. I will now be faced with lots of clean white pages. I must find time to get some backgrounds done in advance. My time at the moment is taken up with the garden and sewing.
I have spent two hours this evening on a video Zoom call with my son in St Petersburg in Russia, my daughters were strangely missing on this one, we will try to connect again at the weekend.
My background is a mop up page with Dylusion inks, and I used some geometric type stencil shapes in turquoise and orange, so I can enter this in Art Journal Journey with Valerie's theme of geometric shapes.
The figures are a mix of Dylusion figures, with the one on the left looking slightly superior and one on the right with her arms up in the air with a "I don't know what she's on about look" even her dog looks a bit bemused.

Thursday Journal page with Neet.

'For the first time in her life she was truly happy. Then she remembered she was drunk' These are the words for our journal page this week. The background is sprayed with Dylusion inks and a star stencil used afterwards. I used a Dylusion
My lady is definitely drunk, there she sits amongst the funny fungi under a starry sky. She looks a bit bemused as well.
Gosh the weather has been fabulous again, and my garden is getting so much attention. I sowed some peas and beans in today, and gave everything a good watering.
I must remember to start my car today, as it has been sitting there for five weeks without moving. It's so used to going out for trips, I hope it's not going to sulk.
I think there are enough geometric shapes to enter into Valerie's theme of geometric shapes on Art Journal Journey.

Tag Tuesday - Gold and silver

Another tag for my theme on Tag Tuesday, which is gold and silver.
This time I covered the tag with chocolate wrappers. I made a soft texture piece on one of my unused texture plates with some very old paste. It was well passed it's use by date and was very hard to spread on. I then added some gold and silver embellishments a friendly plastic ammonite, and a silver dragon fly and some bee charms. I wonder how long it will take me to use up all my bits and pieces. !!

Art journal journey - Geometric shapes.

Valerie's theme on Art Journal Journey is geometric shapes, so I have made a very simple page with circles being the main geometric shape. The background is distress inks sprayed with water. I added some circles in pen. Cut out circles from a coloured mop up page were then added.

Thursday Journal with Neet

The words this week the words are ' A group of people is called, A no thanks' As I had a double page coloured and stencilled in a sea colour and I hadn't done a sea scene for a long time I decided to go with that.
The people are looking over the edge of the tank, and the fish do not like it.
There are circles on the background, so I can enter this in Valerie's theme of geometric shapes on Art Journal Journey

Another lovely sunny week has seen me in the garden again, and I am definitely getting hundreds of celandines dug up. After this lockdown is finished, I don't want to see another celandine for years.
Some pictures of the garden and the last one, my first needlecelted picture.

I hope everyone is well, stay safe.

Tag Tuesday - Gold and silver

It is my turn to host Tag Tuesday for the next two weeks, and I have chosen Gold and Silver for my theme. This gave me the opportunity to do something with lots of texture on. I painted them both with silver paint  and added some bumpy layers of the paint to give texture. I used texture paste and paint through stencils and added some micro beads in four rectangles on the top one. they both have gold or silver thread wrapped around them, and the second one has gold ribbon and wire added.

Thursday Journal with Neet

What a problem I had with this one. The words are 'Life's a zoo, never feed the monkeys. I will be interested to see what Neet did with this one. I really didn't know what Dyan had in mind when she put this one on the stamp sheet.
I used a previously inked page ( Dylusion sprays) and use a circular stencil over the top. I stamped various leaves to give the illusion of a zoo and then stamped some figures including the twins who are monkeys as far as mum is concerned. One of them is crying as he isn't allowed to feed the monkeys.

As there are circles on the background "I am going to enter this in Art Journal Journey where Valerie's theme is Geometric shapes
