Tag Tuesday -- Paris

Paris is the theme chosen by Sandie for the next two weeks on Tag Tuesday, a great theme
For this tag I covered the background in a printed paper, and added some of my stamped Paris images.  I added some lace, a clock and flowers to finish off.

Thursday Journal with Neet

This week the words are "Change for no one and believe in who you are" The only thing I could think of doing was to make a 'strange' figure that no one would find normal.
The background is Dylusion inks with a stencil used with the darker shades of the green. I did some stamping on top and added the watercoloured figures.
I have managed to get out into the garden a few times this week, freezing cold, but did a bit of planting and tidying up. Roll on Spring.
The floods in Herefordshire and Worcestershire are still bad with the Wye and Severn rivers well over their banks, bridges closed and travelling difficult.
I added some hearts so will enter this in Elizabeths theme of hearts on Art Journal Journey

Thursday Journal with Neet

"If you're old enough to know better. You're too old to do it" are the words this week and it left me completely blank. I really couldn't think of what to do.
My mum told me to stop playing tennis when I was 40, so she no doubt thought I was too old for anything that took too much exertion. Good job I didn't take any notice.
My background is Dylusion spray inks and then sprayed with a gold metallic one.
The stamps are also Dylusions. The ladies are under a heart vine and the one standing on her head is showing off, the one on the left has decided that she's old enough to know better and isn't even going to try.
I am entering this in Elizabeths theme of hearts on Art Journal Journey

Tag Tuesday -- Spring is in the air

Valerie has chosen Spring is in the air for the theme on Tag Tuesday My garden is showing signs of Spring despite the constant rain. I have snowdrops, hellebores, primroses, oxlips, coloured primula, bergenia, daffodils, pulmanaria, and a few roses and penstemon out. Some definitely at the wrong time. I even found a carnation and a fuchsia out last week.
For my tag I did a background of distress inks and added two of my favourite Spring stamps of snowdrops and bluebells. and a few flowers to finish it off.

Thursday Journal with Neet

'You can't have everything, where would you put it ?' are the words for this week, and as I am away at one of my daughters  from Tuesday to Thursday, I am getting it done  early.
Again I have used a mop up page and added some lines of hearts and a stencil at the base.
I think mum might be sitting on her daughters dolls house, and the little girl wants to keep adding too much furniture to it. Or she might want even more dolls houses and make a village. Anyway mum is not taking the bait, and asks a very sensible question.
Perhaps we should ask ourselves that when we spy yet more craft stuff. I have a huge room and couldn't fit much more in without a big shoehorn.
As the weather today is so bad ( Monday) I am confined to the house for which my back is very grateful, so down to the studio where I have several things on the go ( understated)
We are are off to Derbyshire tomorrow to have lunch with Peter's brothers and cousin, we must be mad going that far for lunch. No comments needed here.
It actually snowed heavily while we were eating lunch, and they had to have a relay of men on the road out of the golf club to push heavy cars like mine up a slope to get out. The main road was like an ice rink.

I am also adding this to Elizabeth's theme of hearts on Art Journal Journey.

Another piece for my Make it Personal course

Thursday Journal with Neet

This week the words are 'My brain has too many tabs open' All I could think of doing was putting down the thoughts in her brain and putting the jobs she needed to do in bubbles. The background started off as a mop up page, and I used some stencils and stamps to add some interest. I also added some red hearts to brighten the page up a bit.
At last I have been able to get in the garden and actually managed to drag Peter out there as well. I ache everywhere and am nicely tired. The garden is beginning to look like someone cares, with a lot of the dead stuff has now cut down. I am now digging up loads of ivy and then I will plant a new hedge alongside the field.

I am entering this in Art journal Journey where Elizabeths theme is Hearts.

Tag Tuesday -- Black, white and red

Another two tags for my theme on Tag Tuesday, this time on red card with another Dylusion figure. I used a couple of ripped black and white papers to put behind the figure.
The second one is made up of geometric pieces of black and white paper with circles of red.
