The words this week are 'there's not enough hours in the day to do all the stuff I'm not doing to do' I have quite a long list that would fit into that category. This was a difficult one to link in with Alison's theme on Art Journal Journey which is Play it again Sam, where we illustrate a favourite song or film. This week the only thing I could think of that fits our quote is a song by an Australian called Inxs with a song titled Not enough time, but to be honest I had to look it up as nothing else seemed to fit. I hope it's OK with Alison. Sonia was in her lounge, talking to her dog Scamp, just as she does when there is no-one else around. She had made a list of the jobs she needed to do around the flat before her mum came for her monthly check up, where she made sure Sonia was doing all the jobs properly. Doing a bit of a tidy up was OK, dusting as long as she didn't have to dust all the ornaments and putting all her clothes away was just about OK. If she started now she would just have time to achieve those jobs. Now all the ones Sonia wasn't going to do included, cleaning the oven, washing the windows, mending some clothes, weeding her little garden and vacuuming. Luckily her vacuum had broken a few days ago so that was the only legitimate excuse she had for not doing things. Sonia decided to leave those jobs on the list as she never knew when the urge to do one or two of the jobs might happen, you never know her mum might feel sorry for her and do them when Sonia was at work. With that hopeful thought in mind, Sonia decided to get a nice lunch ready for her mum as well.

Yes, it was a tough one to link. I accept your song - haven't a clue really but I can well imagine all the research you had to do.
Love the page and the chapter you have written. (getting back at you in a nice way for all the times you say about my stories being long). :)
Hugs, Neet xx
ps song 'Time after Time' is buzzing in my head - is there such a song?
Great page Wendy! I love Inxs, although I don't remember that song. Thanks for linking up to my AJJ theme again, sorry it's been a tricky one for you :-)
Alison
Wendy, this is just brilliant. I really enjoyed this post.
I loved INXS but like Alison I'm unfamiliar with that track. I'm smiling at the title, if only I could get away with getting out of a few jobs right now.. I'll take weeding over vacuuming every day of the week, rain or shine. Fab page, love the little dogs red & green outfit.
Take care Hugs Tracey x
That quote works for my life right now too. It's spring garden season and there is only so much time in the day, as you well know. But I love your page and story today, and I'm glad you joined in. Thank you. I hope you have a great rest of April. Hugs-Erika
Lovely art work.
I was by several times last week and couldn't leave a comment on your blog. I tried several times each day, too. I finally gave up because I wasn't about to fight Blogger. Odd, because I had no trouble leaving comments to Neet this week.
I have never heard of that group OR the song, but I like how you tied it to the journal page you created. I hope Sonia gets her wish and her mom does some of the chores. It's a sure fact Scamp won't do them! Thanks for sharing this gun entry with us at Art Journal Journey using Alison's theme.
