Paint party Friday Week 52

On Paint Party Friday this week I have painted a Chaffinch. These used to be very common in the UK, but their numbers have declined in recent years, we do have quite a few here as we live in a very rural county.

How lovely! I feel like painting a bird, sometimes, but I'm so bad at sketching that I can't even draw a bird. My 8 yo is much better than me when it comes to sketching. 😊

Lovely painting. I've not seen a chaffinch for a long time in fact I've not seen many other birds either. Even the pigeons have been absent.
