Thursday Journal with Neet

I didn't get around to doing this until last night as I had no idea how to illustrate the quote. In the end I decided on Winston the bulldog with his brother Cecil who looks just as grumpy and fed up.                  The background is distress inks over a mop up page, and the figures are all Dylusions which are some of my favourite. I really like Cecil who is sitting down and taking life easy, he still has his slippers on. Winston is getting het up about all the humans he has to deal with on a daily basis. He sees a vision of them in his head and is not a happy dog.

I am entering this on Art Journal Journey where Erika's theme is 'favourite things' There are several on here, Cecil, Distress inks and my watercolour pens.

I think it's great how you staged it. The poor dog laughs at what he thinks about this crazy world of women!
Take care of yourself and stay healthy, hugs Elke

Not easy when you decide to weave a story around the picture. I wish I hadn't started doing that some times. However back to your page.
Love that red again for the background and the big bulldog looks envious in his green and stands out as it is a complimentary colour. With that amount of humans annoying him he will be having a breakdown before long. It must have taken ages to do this page with so many figures to colour - brilliant!
Hugs, Neet xx

This is really so clever and well done Wendy. Winston and Cecil are brilliant bulldog names. I like those images too. Loving how you put all those people is Winston's thoughts. I know dogs do get annoyed sometimes, at least some dogs (or at least I terrier mix I had years ago did-usually at me). Smile. What a fun page. Thanks for joining us at AJJ. Dogs are a great favorite thing. Hope your new year is going well. Hugs-Erika

I promised myself I wouldn't be late visiting my Art Journal Journey friends, but here I am running late and several days have passed that I've missed. It started when I lost electricity on January 1 and hasn't allowed me to catch up due to the cold that still prevails in my home.

I can see why Winston might be upset with Cecil. You came up with a really clever way of illustrating this quote. It's wonderful. It's also great for Erika's theme at Art Journal Journey, too.
