Thursday Journal with Neet.

This week certainly had me stumped, and as usual I left it to the last minute. Mind you that does tend to make me think quickly. Every week at the moment I tell myself to get it done early. I think because I am not leaving the home and garden and have nothing planned for weeks ahead my discipline has gone awol.
I have used a mop up page again which already had flowers on. I added some more and covered up the  middle with some found coloured deli paper. The middle was a real mess, so best covered up. I used a piece of card that I had sprayed, and adhered the figure to that. I drew some broken crayons in a vain attempt to stick to the saying.

I am adding this to Art Journal Journey where Mia's theme is flowers.

Those flowers are perfect not only for Mia's challenge but also for your background. Thanks for joining AJJ again. This is a great take on that quote. And it is a good quote. Hope all is well with you Wendy. Hugs-Erika

Love your deli paper centre - what a lovely set of colours and they contrast so well with that background. Good idea to draw some broken crayons - not an easy one was it. You have me thinking, I have some deli paper somewhere - had it years and not used - guess in my usual way I have forgotten what I got it for. Must look up 'deli technique'. I think it goes way back to when Cath had the shop - no kidding!
Hope al is well
Hugs, Neet xx

You can certainly think on your feet. Another triumph. I'm scared of leaving things till the last minute - perhaps I should try it!

A super flower background for the figure and the page you created Wendy. Thank you for linking up to Mia's theme at Art Journal Journey.
Stay safe.

I apologize for taking so long to visit. I'm still trying to get over a horrible illness. Your entry turned out great. I like the use of the deli paper and the woman you chose. Using the broken crayons was clever, too. Thanks for sharing this with us at Art Journal Journey using Mia's theme.
