Thursday Journal with Neet.

'If the young only knew, if the old only could' are the words this week.  I found this one difficult and didn't know where to start.  The only thing I  could think of doing was to just choose figures and think about it for a few days.
Making the young ones doing something a bit dangerous and having the grown up wishing she could still do something dangerous as well was the end result.
The background is Dylusion inks with stencils.
I think there is enough green to add to Eileen's theme of green on Art Journal Journey.

We have had three days of sunshine so I have done loads of gardening, well weeding mostly and started planting a new mixed hedge to replace the cypresses one which was horrible. The main problem is the roots left by the trees which are near the surface. My back is killing me so must be careful. It's so frustrating not being able to get out, but the garden will benefit.

I bet it is driving you up the pole with not being able to go out to your daughters - hope they are both safe and well and your son too.
Well, you certainly thought of something dangerous by having a balancing act on top of a roof! How funny that mine is so very very green and yours is too. We are telepathetic at times aren't we (joke, not a typo LOL) (well you have to try something to cheer one another up at the moment).
Hugs, Neet xx

You illustrated this perfectly. The look on the "older" women's face and the then the girl on the rooftop of the house are priceless. Thanks for sharing this with us Wendy. It is a super page for Art Journal Journey. Hope you are staying healthy and safe! Hugs-Erika

You did this so well, Wendy. Love the youngsters on the roof, lol - typical wild girls! Your 'older' lady looks very pensive, too. The background is wonderful and I love the colours you chose.
Both of you did really well with this one. Some of Dy's quotes are incredibly hard to illustrate.

A difficult topic but well expressed. Love the figures and the background colours and patterns. Happy gardening but look after your back. Hasn't it been lovely in the sunshine? I am isolating at the moment but sit outside as much as possible. Keep safe.

A fabulous page Wendy and those young ones on the roof looked like they were ready to take on the world. Thank you for linking up with us at Art Journal Journey as well.
Stay safe and well, its hard not being able to see the family, mine wave through the window when they drop off our shopping.
