Thursday Journal with Neet.

'Easy when you know how isn't it' I was a bit stumped with this one and in the end went for these two figures doing some exercises and balancing acts. I had already sprayed the pages with Dylusion inks. My son is home from Russia for a fortnight so I managed to get this done on Monday. As we are off to one of my daughters for New Year I thought I had better get organised.
I have caught the most awful cold from the grandchildren and feel terrible. The two men are eating at my youngest daughters so I don't have to think about cooking for them. I might have a boiled egg if I can be bothered, which I doubt I will. I just feel like sleeping to stop the awful cough which has given me a rotten headache. I have used some of the new Dylusion shimmer inks on this page so will enter this in Jo's theme of Something new on Art Journal Journey

Hope you soon feel better and well done for taking the trouble to keep up with your Thursday Journal. I suppose we all should think about taking some exercise after all that feasting. A very fitting subject for the time of year - love the colours.

You may have noticed I didn’t stop by to visit when you linked to Art Journal Journey, The reason is quite simple. Wednesday evening, just as I was saying good-bye to my dear friends SC and ND who dropped by to wish me a happy new year, my electricity went out. When I looked outside and saw the neighbors across the street, whose lights NEVER go out when mine do were also out, I knew it wasn’t a blown transformer. My friends decided to stay to see what the problem was. Not more than three or four minutes later, we heard sirens, not just police, but fire, too. We knew it sounded close, so we walked in the direction of the sirens. It was quite dark, but my friends had their cell phone lights to guide them. Two blocks west and one block south we saw that someone in a big truck had hit a light pole so hard, it knocked it over and stretched the wire so hard iy broke. That shut the electricity off in the area on one side, while the other side was draped over someone’s house and was zapping live sparks on the ground in the road.

At first we thought it was a drunk driver, but after the ambulance arrived, we saw the man either had a heart attack or possibly a seizure. As the electric company was arriving, they told the crowd it would be at least a day before we would get our power back. Instead of staying home in the freezing cold and dark, my friend SC, who lives in another town, invited me to her home. I am just now getting home. Even though she has an I-Pad, I don’t know the password that gets me onto blogger (which is stored on my computer only). I’ll be back soon, just want you to know why I wasn’t around to visit and check out your awesome art journal entry. Granted, the electricity is on (I’m not sure how long it’s been on), but it’s freezing here. Thanks for understanding, dear.

Of course, my only problem was the lack of electricity, while you were sick as a dog. I had something similar last year at this time and it took MONTHS for me to get over it.

I simply adore your wonderful journal page. It is really, really colorful and fun. Loved how you had the ladies working out, something many of us need after eating too much over the holidays. Thank you for this lovely entry you shared with us at Art Journal Journey using Jo's theme.

Hope you are feeling a bit better today Wendy. It is a fantastic journal spread, the images are fun, but I will pass on the exercise even though I need it, like most folk I think we ate to much over the holidays.
Happy New Year wishes to you and the family Wendy.
Thank you for linking to Jo's theme at Art Journal Journey.
