Thursday Journal with Neet

Neet's choice this week with the words "Ugh, people"
I did a distress oxide ink background with various stencils and stamps and a Dylusion edge stencil on the base. The figures are from Dylusions mini people range and the creatures from Paperartsy.
I thought the tree dwellers definitely didn't like the look of the human people and the small figures were just the right size for the page. It's not often possible to use these smaller ones in the large journal, so it was nice to give them an airing.
I am also entering this in Art Journal Journey where Erika's theme is 'polka dots/stripes/plaids or patterns' All the girls have polka dots and two of the tree dwellers do as well, even the bottom border has them. That was a lucky choice of stamps, and not a conscience one.

Wendy this is a super quote to illustrate and you did a great job with it. Those monsters are pretty fun. And they have lots of patterns too, perfect for this challenge. Thanks for your support Wendy and for joining the fun at ARt Journal Journey. Hugs-Erika

We are so lucky that a lot of Dyan's figures have dots and stripes aren't we. Great for Erika's challenge.
How strange that I had the same border as you this week - mine all the way around, yours across the base. Great minds again. Uh?
Hugs, Neet xx

Love your subtle but interesting backgrounds Wendy. A perfect foil for the quirky monsters and human characters.

I'm still laughing at your latest journal page with Neet. I love the "not" people. That was brilliant. And FUN, too. Not only do your ladies have polka dots, some have stripes. And your diamond patterns in the background works well for Erika's theme, too. Thanks for sharing this fun journal page with us at Art Journal Journey, Wendy. We always love and appreciate your support.

Hilarious! Your tree-dwellers have got the right idea, I think! Such fun with all those bright colours and bold patterns.
