Every Inchie Monday -- Bhutan

A country I knew nothing about, and I was really pleased to see that their National flower is the blue Himalayan poppy - meconopsis grandis, one of my favourite flowers. I have done a watercolour for my card inchie.
For the National bird I have sewn a raven eating a berry. It's not showing up on the scan, but I stitched the feathers with a shiny black thread. With hindsite I should have perhaps used a dark grey rather than black on black.

I love Himalayan poppies and ravens are such handsome birds. I have also enjoyed my latest geography lesson with you!

Your watercolour poppy is lovely, I tried but couldn't get a good effect, also the raven is beautiful, I am sure it looks lovely with the shiny thread...often difficult to get a good image to show the detail, I find. Dx
