Every Inchie Monday -- Lithuania

This week we are in Lithuania, not the easiest one to find images for.  I have sewn the National bird which is the white stork. ( Looking a bit green on the scan)  The people of Lithuania consider it good luck if they nest on their house and still tell their children that the stork brings the babies.
For the flower I have drawn the Rue Graveolens, their National Flower.

You get Geography and folklore lessons thrown in with your challenges! Love these two and have learned a bit more about the world.

Lovely depictions...your stork image reminded me of reading (Lithuanian?) folk stories as a child which included these birds and the householders reaction when they abandoned their roof...also involved a strange cake drizzled onto a spit turned before the fire made for a child's birthday, I think the child had sorted out the stork issue, if memory serves...my mother did not oblige when I asked her to make me one of those cakes. I must follow up that thought as I had forgotten all about it. Thanks for the prompt! Dx

The flower is great! I also love that we both went with the stork!
