Embroidery -- growth

My kitchen is lime green, one wall of my studio is lime green, here is an embroidery in lime green. I suppose I might go off the colour one day, but not in the foreseeable.

The embroidery is based  vaguely on plant growth -- very vaguely.
The base is felt with various bits of silk, scrim, handmade beads and French knots.
I made holes in the felt with a soldering iron and placed it on a textured canvas that I had made for something else. I really enjoyed doing this and am now aiming to finish off some other embroideries that are lurking in my studio.

Thanks for lovely comment on my blog. The Jacaranda trees are stunning. They take my breath away when I see them massed in a streetscape. Thanks for the kind comment on my crazy patch heart.
