This week the words are 'You can never have enough friends or shoes'
Eve and her cousin Freda are listening to the birds singing and enjoying a small part of the day outside away from the confines of their flats. Eve was very excited about tomorrow evening when she is hosting a shoe party in her flat.
"Please come to my shoe party tomorrow night Freda , You will really find it fun and lots of my friends are coming" said Eve.
"First of all, what on earth is a shoe party, I've never heard of one before and I didn't know you had lots of friends" replied Freda.
"Well, you can never have enough friends or shoes" said Eve with a giggle. " I"m wearing a pair now, all sparkly and a fascinator to match I bought these at a party one of my friends had, so I booked the lady straight away to do a party at mine, so you must come"
I don't need any more shoes, and I would rather be outside listening to the birds singing"said Freda.
"The birds don't sing at night, so you must come or I will be upset. I don't need any more shoes either but I bet I will see some that I just can't resist and I bet you will too" said Eve.
Freda gave in reluctantly and could see her money disappearing and an evening with a load of Eves friends getting excited over shoes and making a lot of noise.
I wonder if Freda bought any !!
I am linking this to Erika's theme on Art Journal Journey of Spring birds.

Freda will shake her head and not buy any.
It's nice that there are young people like that, and they'd rather listen to the birds than constantly buy shoes. There are other ways to make friends.
That's a great story, and your page is fantastic with the scene.
Have a good rest week!
Hugs Elke
I am constantly amazed at how beautifully you keep the colors within the lines. I'd like to know your secret because you do an excellent job. Coloring the birds was amazing, too. Color me impressed! What a fabulous entry for Erika's theme at AJJ.
I like the idea for a shoe party. Especially if it is one where you can show off some shoes. And of course having friends is important too, more than shoes of course. This is a lovely page Wendy, and I like how you snuck in the birds too. Thank you for joining AJJ this month. It is always appreciated. Have a great rest of your week. hugs-Erika
Well, I've heard of Tupperware parties Make up parties and some other parties but never a shoe party. Whether there are any or not does not matter, it would be a good idea to have one and have all your friends around. Great idea to just meet up and have a giggle. I think it is a great story and idea Wendy. Thanks for the idea.
Hugs, Neet xx
