Thursday journal with Neet

'Money isn't everything but it sure keeps us in touch with our children' are the words this week. I am linking this to Erika's theme of birds on Art Journal Journey

The two friends Betty and Veronica are outside listening to the birds and talking about their children and how well they were doing since they were school friends. they had both married well, had good jobs and with their husbands salaries as well everything was a lot easier now. No more worries about how to find the money to feed and clothe growing children and the bonus of a nice home and one good holiday a year. Now all the children had left home and into their new lives it was lovely to be able to relax and enjoy life. Betty's parents had left them some money as well.

"You are lucky" said Veronica. "We are just comfortable, but a bit more would be more than welcome. We both would like to go to see friends and relations in Australia but it would cost too much"

"Money isn't everything but it sure keeps us in touch with our children" replied Betty.

"That's very true, but I suppose that isn't always a bonus" said Veronica.

The two friends had to laugh at that. At least the birds don't have a problem like that.

That's a good story today Wendy. Isn't that true about the quote too? I love how you added the birds on a branch and had these 2 women sitting outside. It's perfect. Thanks for joining my new challenge. Just like last month, I appreciate it. Hope April has started off well for you too. hugs-Erika

TWTWTW - for me! Sunday CT scan on absoman, Monday Covid jab, Tuesday Podiatry (nail coming off), Wednesday hair cut, Thursday hip x ray, Friday Dentist.
I must have cut the quote off my list and lost it! Doh, one of those moments, and the real quote would have been so much easier to do. Not to worry..
Love how you introduced the birds on the branch and made a lovely picture to go with your super story.
Hugs, Neet xx

I am glad I never had children, but those fur babies can be demanding when it's feeding time. I love the birds on the branch. They go great with Erika's theme at AJJ, too. Loved the story and the coloring you did.
