This week the words are 'What ever you have to say can wait until you're smarter. This will be the last one to fit in with my theme of Doors and/or arches on Art Journal Journey. 

Malcolm had been playing in his tent/tepee and his sister Anna had called him out for a chat. What she meant by that was really I need someone to hear all my moans and groans about everything. Anna started off about her fiancé who was more interested in football than her and had refused to go shopping with her for things for their new flat. He has also made arrangements to go fishing with his mates on their first anniversary of dating each other. Apart from those two things he also never noticed when she wore new clothes, and she was spending quite a lot of money making herself look really good. If he keep spending money on football and fishing, she would continue with her spending as well. "What do you think Malcolm, being male you probably have some thoughts on these subjects" Malcolm opened his mouth to give her his words of wisdom and Anna said ""What ever you have to say can wait until you're smarter" With that Malcom opened the door to his tent and prepared to leave her to it

Another page for my theme of doors and/or arches on Art Journal Journey. I couldn't possibly do a theme on doors without some beach huts, these bring back memories of childhood when we used to rent one every year for our holidays on the Lincolnshire coast.

Thursday Journal with Neet

 Another page for our Thursday Journal and to fit in with my theme on Art Journal Journey which is Doors and/or arches. The words this week are 'My dentist told me I need a crown, I was like, I know, right This is very appropriate for me as I broke a front tooth yesterday. It has been dodgy for a few weeks and now need capping I think. Better that than out.  Alice has taken her friend Jane to the dentists, she hates going to the dentist and is secretly terrified. Perhaps if she went more often it wouldn't be such a trial. Jane sat patiently waiting for her friend skimming through some of the usual magazines they all seem to have, and all out of date which wasn't unusual. When Alice came out she was looking a bit bemused and said to Jane " My dentist told me I need a crown, I was like, I know, right ? Jane then tried to explain to Alice that he meant one of her teeth needed crowning not that she needed a crown for her head. Alice really didn't get it, and could actually show him her crown she had brought with her, as she wanted to wear it for a fancy dress party they were going to, and needed to see if it went with the new outfit she was going to buy.

Tag Tuesday - - Christmas in July

A tag in my favourite colours for Pinky's theme of Christmas in July on Tag Tuesday. The background is distress inked and stamped with some swirls. I cut out a deer and the numbers in grungbooard Added some sparse and buttons and net to the base to finish the winter look.

 

Thursday Journal with Neet - Doors and or Arches

' I'm not sarcastic, I'm just mean' are the words this week, and as I am linking this to my theme on Art Journal Journey it has to include a door or arch. Sharon and Andy had bought this house that needed a bit of work doing to it, but it was in a lovely road in town and they had managed to get the price down enough to put in a new kitchen and bathroom. The paintwork left a lot to be desired so Sharon had asked Andy if he would sand down the doors so she could get on with painting them. When she came in from the shops she could see by the clothes he was wearing that he hadn't done anything. " Oh good job she said is the peeling paint the in thing at the moment ?" " You are being sarcastic " Andy said. " I'm not sarcastic- I'm just mean" Sharon said and stormed out of the room, muttering 'if you want anything doing do it yourself'

 'Yes I know how to shut up, I just don't know when' are the words this week. Angela had invited her friend Janet to come to see her new wallpaper and carpet that had cost her a lot of money. Janet was not impressed and didn't hold back in telling Angela what she thought. Good grief you need sunglasses on to look at it, what on earth possessed you to choose that awful wallpaper to go with that bright but dark carpet. I bet you'll get fed up with it really quickly, she was just about to say a lot more when Angela stopped her and said if you are going to be rude, the door is behind you, please use it to go. Sorry Janet said, yes I know how to shut up, I just don't know when. Timmy the cat was looking at Janet's boots and couldn't make up his mind which he disliked the most, the carpet or the boots. Art Journal Journey - Doors / arches

 This time for my theme on Art Journal Journey of doors and /or arches I have done a garden shed door. I printed the stone wall from a photograph that I took in Cornwall (I knew it would come in useful one day) I made the door from some printed paper and stamped a wheelbarrow and sign and added some plant die cuts.

Art Journal Journey - Door/ Arches

 I am hosting Art Journal Journey for this month and have chosen doors and Arches as my theme. Here I have used a garden fence to include the door into the garden beyond. The background beyond the fence is made with magazine images and the tree in front with wallpaper for the trunk and branches. Some of the foliage are die cuts with the addition of some flowers.
