I'm back to doing this at the last minute again. "I had my patience tested - Turns out I'm negative" are the words this week. Angela has offered to take her nephew and two niece out for the day to give their mum a break. The decision didn't take her long to regret. She thought a walk in the country and a sort of nature trail, picking up things of interest and learning how plants grow, and where. All three of them didn't really want to go, as they would prefer to stay home, and like most kids nowadays they wanted to play on their iPads and computers. Angela was determined to not let that happen, but was getting very tired of the constant grumbling. They didn't even like the bees and caterpillars. When she took them back to her sister she said "I had my patience tested - Turns out I'm negative". I used a Distress inked background that was already done, and stamped some leaves on the top Two of the heads are from Art by Marlene, but the figures are Dylusions. I am linking this to Art Journal Journey where Alison's theme is Summer Countryside

She certainly looks het up with those red cheeks ofo hers. A big 'ask' of her to take three kids out on a nature walk - braver than most I would think.
A lovely page (you would not think this was a last minute affair) and a delightful story. Telepathy at it again lol.
hugs, Neet xx
Poor Angela. I can feel for her as children DO seem to not want to be in nature anymore. this is a well constructed entry, and as always, I love the coloring of all the children and their aunt. Thanks for yet another wonderful entry for Art Journal Journey using Alison's theme. This is great.
Lovely page and a fab story. When I took school kids out for nature walks they never stopped asking when it would be over! Thanks for joining us at AJJ! Hugs, Valerie
Great story about the inspiration for this page. Love it. Anesha x
This is a fabulous page Wendy. I love those insects you added that really make it feel like a summer countryside garden. And another great story this week too. Thanks for joining us at AJJ for Alison's challenge. Hope your week is going well. Hugs-Erika
I love Angela- she is a very cool character even if she is impatient. Great insects, background, figures, and story, Wendy. Very fun!!!
Fabulous page! Loving the story and Mum looks beautiful and very calm on the page 😀. Happy Friday and weekend! Hugs, Jo x
A great tale Wendy, my 3 used to love adventures and the countryside I was a very lucky Mom. Love how each character is so different, great background to display them all on.
Beautiful journal page. Happy weekend Hugs Tracey x
Oh dear Angela does look like she has had a bad outing with the kids. Its a fantastic page and stor, thank you for adding this to the AJJ Countryside theme.

Yes! The frustration of the teens in our family wanting their phones on while walking in beautiful places is really annoying! Poor Angela - I sympathise! Fabulous page for Alison's theme! Hugs, Chrisx
Yup, that definitely sounds familiar! Love the countryside setting you've created... if only the teenagers would learn to appreciate it properly. Brilliant page. Thanks so much for joining us in the Summer Countryside at Art Journal Journey.
