Thursday journal with Neet

The words this week ' It's better to take a risk, than miss a moment of magic' Not an easy one to portray, so I decided to balance the figure on two mushrooms, under a starry sky.
Now if I tried that the stalks would collapse and I would be on the floor in a heap.
I sprayed the background with Dylusion inks and used a new glimmer spray for the stars, was also new All the images are painted with watercolour pens.
I also used a new stamp for the foliage.
I am right at the end of my journal and it's getting more difficult to scan, hence the edges showing.
we are off to Suffolk tomorrow to pick up a machine, which should take us 8-10 hours travelling time, so I will be back late.

I am also entering this in Art Journal Journey where Jo's theme is Something new.

Tag Tuesday -- Black white and red

It's my turn to host on Tag Tuesday, and my theme is Black, white and red. I love this combination and enjoyed doing these. I might even do some more, especially using my Dylusion figures as I can put them in my Dylusion journal. For these two, I did a black and white paper collage on the first one with some red poppies on top. On the second one I used black card with a Dylusion figure with some red picked out on her attire.

Thursday Journal with Neet

We are now on a new set of quotes, stating off with 'Ask my kids, they know everything' I have added another set of words of my own for the figure on the right.
The background is sprayed with Dylusion inks and then I used stencils using the same colours.
I used a new stencil (Ferns at the bottom) and and stamp( Top leaves)
The figures are all Dylusion figures with a mix of different bodies and heads, and coloured with watercolour pens.

As I have used a new stencil and stamp I am also entering this in Art journal Journey where Jo's theme is Something new.

Thursday Journal with Neet

This week we have the words 'Smile it is the key that fits the lock of everybody's heart' + the words 'where should we fit it" added by Neet.
I thought the figure of Winston didn't look as if he had smiled for years, so used these two figures to illustrate the saying. I used Dylusion paints on the background and various stencils including two new ones ( the green leaves and the seed heads)
My cold is on the mend now, it just takes me twice as long to do anything.

I am also entering this in Art Journal Journey where  Jo's theme is Something new and
Try it on Tuesday where the theme is 'What a cutie/make someone smile today

Tag Tuesday -- Winter scenes

On Tag Tuesday it's Michele's turn to host with he theme of Winter scenes.
My tag has a background of distress inks sprayed with water to give the mottled effect. The trees are a die cut by Tim Holtz with white puff paint to look like snow. The foreground is texture paste with some snow like glitter on top. The trees also have glitter on, non of which is visible on the scan.

Thursday Journal with Neet

Very late putting this on as I have been rushing around Hereford with my son, getting all those last minute things before he flies back to Russia tomorrow. I should have put it on last night as I made it ages ago, I just haven't thrown off this cold yet and ache all over from coughing
The words for this week are 'I don't know how to put this nicely, so I won't'
The background is sprayed with Dylusion sprays and some of the new shimmer inks. I used a stencil for the leaves, and coloured the figures with watercolour pens.

Tag Tuesday -- Celebrations

On Tag Tuesday the theme is celebrations chosen by our new team member Pinky.
I have chosen to celebrate a romantic weekend in Paris. The tag has the main feature of the Eiffel tower with the happy couple surrounded by flowers with a bit of lace to finish off at the top.
I am very late joining in as I am still suffering from a really awful cold that the grandchildren kindly gave me. My mojo hasn't really appeared since Christmas.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

'Easy when you know how isn't it' I was a bit stumped with this one and in the end went for these two figures doing some exercises and balancing acts. I had already sprayed the pages with Dylusion inks. My son is home from Russia for a fortnight so I managed to get this done on Monday. As we are off to one of my daughters for New Year I thought I had better get organised.
I have caught the most awful cold from the grandchildren and feel terrible. The two men are eating at my youngest daughters so I don't have to think about cooking for them. I might have a boiled egg if I can be bothered, which I doubt I will. I just feel like sleeping to stop the awful cough which has given me a rotten headache. I have used some of the new Dylusion shimmer inks on this page so will enter this in Jo's theme of Something new on Art Journal Journey
