The theme on Art journal Journey set by Erika is "in the sky / In the air, and for this one I homed in on the seagulls at the seaside. Although they are a nuisance and steal food they are very attractive birds. My parents lived on the coast of Devon and mum had a personal vendetta against the, as they were always in the town, and messing everywhere, and people used to feed them their fish and chips.
I have made this simple page with a mixture of inking and collage.
I am also entering this in Try it on Tuesday where the theme is Things with wings.

I have a 'thing" for the ocean so I just love this page Wendy. It is perfect for In the Sky/In the Air with all those seagulls. I would like to be at the spot smelling the sea and listening to the caws of the gulls. Thanks so much for posting again at Art Journal Journey. Much appreciated. Hugs-Erika

Those were the days, Wendy, when seagulls stayed by the seaside, whereas now they're all inland, too, eating all the young birds - grr! I love nature but I do find the reality of it difficult at times, lol. Great page.

Its a fantastic seascape scene Wendy. We even get seagulls occasionally on fields in bad weather, miles from the sea.

I'm still playing catch up, Wendy. I love your painting. Your mother and I sound alike. She had a problem with the seagulls and I have a problem with the Canadian geese we get here. People started feeding them, and they refused to leave. Now their slimy poop is so bad, you can't walk along the banks of the river in my neighborhood.
