Craft Barn Fortnightly Challenge

I don't normally do this challenge on The Craft Barn,  but as it was for a beach scene with a beach hut, I couldn't resist it.  The substrate is a canvas board that I made on a retreat many years ago. There is another one to go with it to make book covers. That means I will now HAVE TO do a beach book to go into the covers. The canvas had only been painted in the sand and sky colours, which I then painted over and used some texture paste for the sea.
I then stamped and coloured some beach huts and adhered them to the background. I stuck on some shells and stone bits. The finishing touches are some die cut seagulls. Now I have to do the back cover and make some pages. Please don't hold your breath.

I have also entered this on the Country View Challenge for August == Hot Summer Days.

I love those little beach huts and am longing for a paddle. The texture for the sea is perfect and the seagulls set it all off. Looking forward to the book!!

A fabulous piece. The sea looks so life-like, I'm sure I can hear the waves lapping the shore!
