Gothic arch. Black, white, with a hint of red

This week the Gothic arch challenge was Black and white, with a dash of red. I didn't find this very easy, and my effort is below. I used black card, stamped the church arch on white card, and applied it to the black card. The angel was stamped on paper, as were the little butterflies. I then put some swirly lines in with my white marker, and coloured in some red on the arch. http://gothicarches.wordpress.com/

Sometimes themes just stump us, don't they Wendy? I find the same. I'm so glad that you perservered because this arch is beautiful. It is so reverant and full of grace. Lovely work.

Hi Wendy,
I Must say it doesn't look as if you struggled it is a truley gorgeous arch, there is so much i like about it.
The Church window for one, the angel, she is beautiful, the butterflies as your hint of red and then the artistic flourishes that complete YOUR background.
It becomes an original.
thank you for taking on this challenge.

Love the way you've placed the red, Wendy. A really beautiful image too and what a great idea to place her in front of that window!
