Thursday Journal.

The words this week are 'I'm never a calm blue sea, I'm always a storm'

It's a new month and a New Year, so Happy New Year to you all. As Thursday is the first day of the month I have to wait to put my blog on after I have made it on Thursday morning. After half an hour of freezing my hands and feet out in the garden, I have managed a quick page.

Lucy had met up with her friend Louise whilst out for a brisk walk, as it looked like it was going to rain, in fact it looked like another one of those storms that sweeps across the Atlantic. Louise was not looking very happy and Lucy had asked  "what's was up with you?"

"Well, first of all I had a massive row with my boyfriend, who is now my x boyfriend, I just lost it with him and just couldn't stop giving him a list of his annoying habits and telling him his friends were awful as well" Louise replied.

"So now you are free of him you can start again, especially as you were beginning to grumble about him"said Lucy.

"Yes I know, but it always seems to happen with me I'm never a calm sea, I'm always a storm. Just look at that sky, that's just like me, even the seagulls have come inland away from the stormy coastline"

" Cheer up, it's New Years day, a new beginning" said Lucy.

I am linking this to Erika's new theme of 'What's up' on Art Journal Journey.

Happy New Year!
Your story is wonderfully told with this quote!
The journal page is imaginatively designed,
and I think what the two ladies are wearing is chic.

Happy new year Wendy. What a fun way to start the new year and the new month. Poor Louise. Breaking up with a boyfriend is tough, but like Lucy said, it's a new year and if you have to break up, at least you start the new year fresh. I love the added seagulls too, and you story is perfect for my challenge. Thanks for linking up. I hope your January 1 was a great start to the new year. hugs-Erika

Hi Wendy! I love your story and how you cleverly incorporated this week’s phrase! It’s simply perfect! It’s also ideal for Erika’s ‘What’s Up?’ theme! Your art journal page is adorable, and I especially like the seagulls! Thanks so much for visiting my blog, too! Happy New Year! Sending hugs, Sharon
