Thursday journal

The words this week are 'You know what's funny? not you'

Kerri had gone out for a walk and bumped into her best friend Angela. "I was just on my way to see you, exclaimed " Angela. I was hoping to catch you in.

"I felt like a walk, what is it you wanted to see me about" asked Kerri.

"Well as you know is my birthday next week and I have been given a weekend trip for two to Paris, all expenses payed, by my parents" said Angela.

"Wow lucky you, is your boyfriend going with you" asked Kerri.

"You have to be joking, my parents wouldn't allow that, no you are coming with me,  chuckled Angela.

"Oh, the thing is, are you flying or going by train" asked Kerri ?

"Well flying obviously, why do you ask" asked Angela.

I'm terrified of flying, that's why, they say a plane takes off every two minutes Heathrow, what if they bump into each other ? said a nervous Kerri.

"It's the safest way of travelling, did you know that" replied Angela. " I'll hold your hand if you like"

"You know what's funny, not you"remarked Kerri.

"I'm not being funny , but you coming with me, even if I have to drag you up there, I won't take no for an answer. You will be fine, it's very exciting honestly"

"Right, I will have to go and find my brave face then, and try to not look out of the window to see how high me are" said Kerri.

Thursday Journal

I hope my ship comes in before my dock rots'  are the words this week'.      My background is distress oxide inks using a scrap page that I used an old stencil on. I used the stencil ink side and used a wet wipe to get the ink off and onto the page. I then used a green over the top to fill in the gaps.

Martha had gone to see her cousin Pauline and was a bit worried about her, she hadn't seen her for days.

"What's up with you, you look as if you are having a rough time" Martha asked.

"Where do you want me to start? " Pauline replied.

Martha was now wishing she hadn't asked, and reckoned she was in for a long spell of moaning.         "Well you might as well tell me, better than sitting there bottling it all  up" Martha said.

"First of all I have this awful cold that's going around, then I lost my job, then I had a row with my mum who thinks I'm not trying to find another job. After that I didn't think anything else could go wrong, but then my car ground to a halt, I think that's all at the moment" Pauling stated sarcastically.

"Well let's look at each problem one at a time. First of all, you will get over your cold, that's only temporary, You hated that job, so find one you really like, you are well qualified.  Your mum won't be mad at you for long, and get my boyfriend to look at your car for you, that's his job after all. See there you go, no problems.

"That's OK for you, I just hope my ship comes in before my deck rots"replied Pauline.

Thursday Journal.

The words this week are 'I'm never a calm blue sea, I'm always a storm'

It's a new month and a New Year, so Happy New Year to you all. As Thursday is the first day of the month I have to wait to put my blog on after I have made it on Thursday morning. After half an hour of freezing my hands and feet out in the garden, I have managed a quick page.

Lucy had met up with her friend Louise whilst out for a brisk walk, as it looked like it was going to rain, in fact it looked like another one of those storms that sweeps across the Atlantic. Louise was not looking very happy and Lucy had asked  "what's was up with you?"

"Well, first of all I had a massive row with my boyfriend, who is now my x boyfriend, I just lost it with him and just couldn't stop giving him a list of his annoying habits and telling him his friends were awful as well" Louise replied.

"So now you are free of him you can start again, especially as you were beginning to grumble about him"said Lucy.

"Yes I know, but it always seems to happen with me I'm never a calm sea, I'm always a storm. Just look at that sky, that's just like me, even the seagulls have come inland away from the stormy coastline"

" Cheer up, it's New Years day, a new beginning" said Lucy.
