Thursday Journal with Neet
The colours this week are brown and green and the theme is through the arch.
Why on earth did I choose this subject, I came back from a few days in Yorkshire visiting Peter's youngest son with not a thought of what to do in my head.
I drew and inked up the arch and made an attempt to make it look like a stone wall. I found a suitable picture in my gardening magazine and assembled it all. Next came the words and the little boy.
I can now go to bed. I just wish it wasn't so hot and clammy.

Tag Tuesday -- Nautical/Seaside
This is my second tag for Michele's theme on Tag Tuesday. This time I have used a stamped beach hut and one of two little girls. The seagulls are die cuts.

Tag Tuesday -- Nautical/Seaside
This fortnight on Tag Tuesday. our lovely Sandie has chosen Nautical/Seaside as her theme. One of my favourite themes, which is strange for someone who lives in the UK as far from the sea as you can get. I suppose the nearest one is West Wales, and that takes several hours to get to.
My background is distress inks and some texture paste for the sea edge. The little girl and the saying are on separate pieces of card. I added some real shells to go with the saying.

Every Inchie Monday -- Mexico
This week we are off to Mexico where the National bird is the Caracara and the flower the Dahlia Pinnate. I have attempted to sew the bird and draw the dahlia, not easy, especially the dahlia. I didn't really like the dahlia so I have drawn the Mexican national dog, which is the Xoloitzcuintli, the hairless dog. I can't imagine any thing worse than an animal that looks as if it has been skinned. We saw a hairless cat in Spain and it was horrible.

Thursday Journal with Neet
This week we are off to Gay Paree, and I just couldn't do a page without the Eiffel Tower. ( It is a photograph that my brother took)
The background is distress oxides and a stencil. The figures are Dylusions and the dog one of Tim Holtz. I enjoyed doing this one, it has made a great break from sorting out the garage which has been full of stuff since we moved here. Hopefully tomorrow the forth day should see the end of it. I still have all my son's boxes to repack and sort, I am not looking forward to doing that.

Tag Tuesday -- Floral
Foe this fortnight on Tag Tuesday it's Valerie's turn to set the theme. She has chosen Floral. I have made a tag with poppies on it. The background is one I had made earlier and I thought suited the flowers. The stamps are from Tim Holtz and I used Derwent Intense pencils to colour the flowers.

Thursday Journal with Neet
This week the word is holiday and the colours blue and green. I really had to put my thinking cap on for this one, as my mind was a blank. I blame all this heat.
I painted the background with acrylic paint and used Dylusion birds and figure.
Even though my studio is cool to work in, my energy has taken a big dip. I have so much to do in the garden, but it's just too hot. I have some established plants drying up with withering leaves. There is only so much water you can give them. I also have lots of new plants waiting to be planted. We are just not used to this weather in this country.
