Not a colour I would normally use, but as khaki was the subject on Every Inchie Monday, so khaki it is.
For the sewing one, I made a pair of khaki trousers, and no I didn't put a zip in them. For the card one I drew a soldier in his khaki uniform.

Khaki is an odd color. I like your interpretation using this word. It brought back memories of my brother's khakis frozen solid out of the clothesline in the winter LOL!
