Altered matchbox shrine
This is my attempt at an ATC size matchbox shrine for the NI and 6 inch square challenge. The paper I used was a photgraph of a lichen encrusted tree, so I made the nest out of lichen from the garden, wood shaving, and small twigs. The bird is glued onto card ( not a real bird ) and in the nest are some card eggs. The roof is made from metal tape, and coloured with alcohol inks.

Wendy, this little shrine is just fabulous - I actually said Wow when I saw it just now. Have got your email and sent you my address, and am looking forward to receiving my ATC, Heather.
This is gorgeous Wendy - I can hardly image it being so small. Lovely work
It's me again! I've just gone back through your posts and discovered your tag books. They are so lovely and there is so much work in them. I would love to be able to do paper craft like that. I shall have to keep on trying.
This is just fab!
This is wonderful, Wendy. I love the way you've incorporated lichen and twigs.
It's fantastic Wendy - love the twigs and the colour.
This is lovely Wendy/
Everything about this is just divine, great idea (bird houses always get my vote!) wonderful natural colour scheme and clever use of twigs and lichen and such a sweet bird image (is it a Linnet?)! Thanks for taking part in the project Wendy!
