Yellow is the word on Every Inchie Monday and for the sewn one I have sewn beads and buttons on a base of home made fabric. The stampbord one has beads adhered to a textured paint base.
The word this week on Tag Tuesday made me think of Paris and my two tags are mainly collaged onto an alcohol ink background. I am trying to use up a stash of coloured ( ready to go ) tags so that I can start afresh.
Energy is the word on Every Inchie Monday this week. I have sewn some lightning , and for the stampbord one I have drawn a light bulb with some wind turbines inside.
I had great fun with these and splashed, dripped and dribbled with distress stains. My hands ended up the same colours. I never understand how they react with water but doesn't wash off your hands !!!
I stamped and coloured two Dyan Reaveley stamps and sayings and adhered them to the tags.
On Every Inchie Monday this week the word is nose, not the easiest one to do. For the sewn one I used some very fine leather to mahe the nose end of a bottle nosed whale. For the stampbord I drew a nose in pencil and shaded it a bit.
This week's word is Friendship, and I have made two tags both featuring children. One tag has a sprayed ink background and the other one a black tag that I coloured through a stencil.
Both images are stamped.
Yarn is the word on Every Inchie Monday this week. I chose to go down the fabric yarn route rather than the telling of a story. My sewn one consists of different types of yarn laid down in rows. The stampbord one I drew a ball of knitting yarn.
I am interested in all types of art and crafts, including altered art, ATCs, painting, and textural crafts, especially embroidery, and felting. I also like to combine paper and fabric in mixed media art. My passion at the moment is fabric books. I love gardening, when the British weather and my bad back allows. My gorgeous grandsons and granddaughter also lure me out of my studio, that is until they are old enough not to make a mess in there
