Tag Tuesday -- All the colours of the rainbow

All the colours of the rainbow is the theme this week on Tag Tuesday. I painted the tag with rainbow colours, and stamped up some leaves with different colours. I added  two small pictures, and then stuck on the leaves. I found some rainbow ribbon and added that.

Every Inchie Monday -- Thistle

I don't like them in the garden, but doing some inchies featuring them for Every Inchie Monday was great. I made my usual sewn one, and two drawn ones, one with water colours, and the other a Scottish type symbol one.

Tag Tuesday -- Opposites

On Tag Tuesday opposites is the theme. Lots of things spring to mind, but with my now limited resources I went for old and young. The tag is coloured with distress inks, stamped with my favourite script stamp, and the images adhered to the background. I added some lace and flowers to finish it off.

Avril on TIOT has kindly asked me to be guest designer for this challenge and this is what I made. I love elephants, and decided to make a wall hanging. I started off with some corrugated card, distressed it a bit and painted it with Fresco paints. I stamped some elephants and cut them out. I stamped  Indian images on the background, and stuck the elephants on top.
The panel was then stuck onto some card, to which I adhered some elephant and Indian ribbon ( Braid ) to, I hung some elephant charms to the bottom, and some lace and a metal embellishment to the top. Some sari ribbon to hang it with and I was finished.

Every Inchie Monday -- Throne

I have been away on a course, and am therefore a bit late with this challenge. Having made them, I then couldn't get on the internet to put them on my blog. Throne was the word for this weeks Every Inchie Monday, and I have made my usual two, one sewn with red velvet, and the other drawn. Working with such a small piece of velvet was not easy, as it frays a lot. I took the easy option this time, and went for the obvious.

Artful Times DT piece -- Arches

On Artful Times the subject is arches. I have started an arch book on my family, and this one is of my Great Grandma, my Nanwith a friend, and my mum with my oldest cousin on her left. No one knew who the little girl was, and all of those generations have now passed away.
The background of the arch is collaged and inked. I added some vintage lace at the bottom, and some flowers and buttons.

Every inchie Monday -- Salmon

On Every Inchie Monday Salmon is the next word. With limited time, the salmon fish came out tops. I painted a rocky river and the shrink plastic salmon is leaping up the river to spawn. The sewn one is a salmon coloured salmon, as my silver fabric is in the new house 40 miles away. The sewn one looks a bit moth eaten and fat, now it's been scanned. Could be it's the one with the eggs,  waiting for Mr salmon to get up that river.
