Artful Times Challenge. Birds

I'm a bit behind in my craft room, as my two grandsons and my daughter were here for a week. My workroom was used for a two year olds crayoning session and that was it.

I have managed to do my usual tag for the challenge, but having done one, used an already done tag background to do another one. Both backgrounds are distress inked, and my favourite crow stamp came out for an outing. I just love that stamp. So one is Spring and the other Autumn. The spring one I will add later, as it will mess up the entry on the other blog.

Steampunk ATCs

These are for a steampunk swap. I inked the backgrounds with distress inks, and stamped some cogs, and steampunk images with archival ink. I then added cogs, and stamped clocks that I had applied crackle medium to.

Birdhouse shaped ATCs

This are for a swap in America, and as it is now nearly £2 to send them,. I won't be doing many more. It felt very strange working on card not quite ATC size, but I do love doing birdy things.

Artful Times Challenge -- Time

This challenge was just up my street, as I love art about time. I thought I would use lots of different techniques on this tag. I started off with distress inks, and then used bleach on the stamp at the bottom. I stamped the top with various cog stamps and embossed the one on the right. Tha stamp at the bottom I added afterwards. The clocks and cogs are a mixture of shrink plastic, die cuts (embossed) and a Tim Holtz one thrown in as well. The pocket watch on the right has crackle accents on the face, the one bottom right is shrink plastic.

Artful challenge A sea of green

This is for the second of the new challenges on Artful Times, and the subject was a 'sea of green'
I decided to make a tag again, as I love tags. I coloured the background in two shades of distress inks, and then sprayed a green glimmer mist over the branch mask. I then stamped the images onto card and coloured them in lightly with distress ink, with highlights of watercolour. I added some sari ribbon at the bottom.

Texture with string ATC swap

These three ATCs are for a texture with string swap. I was a bit stuck for ideas until I thought of knitting. It was a bit painfull on my poor fingers, but I am quite pleased with the result. I stuck the string borders down with UHU.

New Challenge blog Tag

I haven't joined a challenge blog for years, but as my friend Neet has started a new one with two of her friends, I thought I would have a go. The blog is called Artful Times.
The first challenge was a tag, and as I love making tags, I enjoyed doing it. I am in an orange mood at the moment, so started off with some orange distress stains, and a mica spray. I stamped the image with the orange bit of a Big and juicey ink pad, and added some gold flourishes. The flower is made from organza.
