Thursday journal

This week the words are ‘As far as I'm concerned, I'm delightful'                                                                 I have used an old background and stamped some clock images onto tissue paper and stuck them on the page.

Eva and her friend Serena are having a conversation about their friends at college  and how different everyone was. Different backgrounds, families and education, every one had a story to tell and some of the girls were just like the girls they had grown up with. Sone of them who had gone to what the girls called posh schools who had very rich parents seemed to be very different from the rest of them. They drove around in expensive cars and lived in expensive flats, whereas Eva and Serena shared a small flat in town, and were perfectly happy to do so. It helped them save some money after college to help them on the next step on the job market.

Eva said "Do you ever regret not having enough money, because it would be nice to have a bit more.

"No not really, I'm perfectly happy as I am. As far as I'm aware I'm delightful". replied Serena.

Art Journal Journey - A moment in time.

This time for my theme on Art Journal Journey I used a printed clock face, ripped the edge and made it into a flap to put poems or ATCs in.

Art Journal Journey - A moment in time

Another page for my theme on Art Journal Journey of 'A moment in time'

This time I have used an old Paperarsty stamp which fits my theme of 'a moment in time' on Art Journal Journey The bird is going to fly away with the clock. I must admit time does seem to fly, the older you get the faster it seems to go.

Thursday journal

Unfortunately Neet is still in hospital but getting better, so on my own again.

The words this week are 'I regret every single nap I passed up as a child'

I inked a background and then used a few time stencils over the top, using the same colours. The girl is one of the newer of Dylusion stamps and they are great to use. Not quite so way out as some of the others.

Emily has a new job and comes home really tired, she has to see to Squiggles her little cat, do the housework and get herself a meal. She couldn't wait to get her own place, it seemed such a good idea. At least her mum doesn't have to wait up for her if Emily goes out in the evening. Mind you she wishes she  wasn't too tired to go out. Apart from that Emily is finding it very tiring, and could really do with a nap when she came home. The trouble with that is she wouldn't be able to sleep when she went to bed. lunch time would be ideal but she was pretty sure her boss would not be amused.

"Honestly Squiggles I regret every single nap I passed out on as a child" Squiggles wasn't impressed as he could go to sleep whenever he felt like it, humans he couldn't understand them at all.

Thursday Journal

I have used a double page that I had already done the background on. As it had circles on it I stamped watches on some them. The story is also about a moment in time.

The words this week are ' Sorry I hung up on you...I din't mean to answer.

When Faith went round to see her friend Glenys, she was a bit puzzled as to why Glenys had phoned her up and then put the phone down as soon as Faith said hello. Perhaps she phoned the wrong number and put the phone down straight away. Anyway Faith was a bit put out and decided to go round and see if she was alright.

When Faith arrived at Glenys house, Glenys invited her in. and Faith asked what was going on.

"Well explained Glenys, Sorry I hung up on you...I didn't mean to answer. I thought if I put it down quickly you would't have time to answer. The thing is I have a new phone and I put all my friends numbers in and gave everyone a number, so I was ringing the number I had allocated to them to see if it worked"

"Don't be daft Glenys, how would you know it was them if they didn't answer it" explained Faith.

"Oh I never thought of that, it's a good job you came round to tell me that, as I was just about to try the other numbers" Glenys giggled at how silly she had been.

Art Journal Journey - A moment in time

I am hosting Art Journal Journey this month with the theme of 'A moment in time' This can encompass many different aspects of time, being a moment in actual time when something happened, a collection of ephemera, sayings, poems. In fact anything that reflects a moment in time.

For my first one I have used a card background with a section of corrugated card in the centre. Around and on it are several types of ephemera : clock faces, cogs, numbers, and some shrink plastic stamped images, which denote a different Age (or moment bin time) I am using this page as the cover for my art journal.
