The theme set by Valerie on Tag Tuesday is Travel. I would love to go the Paris and Rome again, but lacking the incentive and energy to do so.

Thursday Journal with Neet
On Art Journal Journey the theme set by Aimslee is Flowers and the saying this week on Neet and my `Thursday journal is 'Not my circus, not my monkeys. My monkeys fly' I am not actually sure what this saying is all about so found it difficult to do and to tie it in with AJJ. Angie has two little girls Dottie and Lexi and they are very naughty most of the time, a real handful. Their latest offence was to pull off all the petals from their mum's friends best rose. They had no excuse for doing it and knew they were in for a row when they got home. Their mums best friend Doreen was very angry and tried to explain to the girls that not only was it very wrong to treat anything in nature badly, but to do that her very best rose was not going to be forgiven in a hurry. The two girls didn't look very chastened but said sorry after a very stern look on their mums face. Doreen said to Angie " Not my circus, not my monkeys. My monkeys fly" Not liking her two girls being called monkeys, or saying that her control of the girls was like a circus, Angie wondered what she meant by that remark. She had totally forgotten that Doreen had a job at the zoo and was in charge of some monkeys who seemed able to go from one tree to the next without much effort and looked like they were flying.

Thursday Journal with Neet
The theme this month set by Aimeslee on Art Journal Journey is Flowers. The saying from Tim Holtz snarky comments is 'I am silently correcting your grammar', and Neet and I try to combine them both together. This is such a familiar saying for me, as my son teaches English to students from various countries, he also says this to me on a few occasions. Flip, I didn't think there was anything wrong with my grammar. Freya and Ellen are going to take part in the local general knowledge quiz in their local art gallery, and although Freya is good at art she didn't know much about the old artists, so she hoped there wouldn't be too many questions on them. She had painted flowers on one wall in her bedroom and was very good at painting animals. On the other hand, Ellen was good at answering questions on sport and entertainment. They managed to answer some of the natural history, history and general knowledge ones, but Freya felt she was far more sophisticated than Ellen and would be able to answer some of the more recent ones such as politics and classical music. There were bound to be some art questions and hopefully Freya would know what to say, although she thought Ellen would feel a bit lost and Freya was wondering is she would be silently correcting Ellen's grammar., which became worse when she got stressed. If they won there was a monetary prize to spend in one of the local stores.

Thursday Journal with Neet
The words this week are 'I do this thing called what I want' Little Alfie from next door has popped in to see his friend Alice. They don't have any brothers and sisters and are somewhat spoiled, only Alfie thinks Alice is better at it than him, she seems even more spoiled than he is. He has been asked round by Alice so she could show off her new hand painted walls. To Alfie it was far too girly, he would like one with monsters or space travel, but so far hasn't been at all successful in getting it, he had even seen some wallpaper with monsters on, but his parents went strangely deaf when he mentioned it. He couldn't wait to find out how Alice managed to get nearly everything she wanted so he rushed straight around to her house. "Alice, how do you manage to get all these things? he asked. "Well said Alice I do this thing called what I want, my parents get so fed up with the constant I wants that they give in, it works nearly all the time. What do you think about the lovely flowers on the wall" With that Alfie rushed back home to see if it worked on his parents.

Tag Tuesday - Hats.
The theme on Tag Tuesday, set by Michele is Hats. I searched out some rubber stamps that hadn't seen the light of day for years and coloured them with coloured pencils, and mounted them on a colourful background that I had made previously.

Thursday Journal with Neet
The snarky words this week are 'One of us is right, the other one is you'. First of all please excuse the quality of the picture, my scanner is on strike. The new theme on Art Journal Journey this month set by Aimeslee of Paper-Paisley art adventure is flowers.
Susan is in her garden sitting on her new mushroom seat admiring the daisies when her friend Esme had come round to see if she was ready to go the competition in the village hall. This month it was on who could come up with the most unusual hat. Esme had gone to a lot of trouble to make a hat with some 3D houses that were similar to those in the village. Esme took one look at Susan's hat and asked her what had she done that complied with the rules of decorate your hat with something unusual. "I've put a dog on it" said Susan, thinking that was pretty obvious. "Yes but you haven't made anything, you have just tucked a toy dog under the brim, you didn't make it. That does not fit with the rules" 'Well I think it's unusual, and your looks ridiculous" said Susan. "Well said Esme, one of us is right, the other one is you" I think Esme stands a good chance of winning, even if Susan doesn't agree.
