Tag Tuesday - Hearts, hearts, hearts.

The new theme chosen by Michele on Tag Tuesday is Hearts, hearts, hearts Not really my thing even though I have lots of bits that I have in my stash. I used a mop up sheet for the background and a vintage image. The hearts are from my stash. I added three roses to make it look a bit more romantic.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

Neet's choice this week with the words "I don't think I want any more adventures" I had great fun with this page. The bird is made from three different stamps and all images coloured with watercolour pens. The background was sprayed with Dylusion inks.
I am busy trying to catch up with my two on-line art courses, and at the same time do my textile homework. I have made a practice piece and will put it on my blog at the weekend or Friday if I remember.

Tag Tuesday -- Mail

My second tag for the Tag Tuesday theme of Mail. The background is a paper with postage stamps. I added a stamp of the gentleman on tissue paper, a stamped postcard and image on a small tag, and a real postage stamp.

Thursday Journal with Neet

My choice of Dyan's words this week with " Don't rush me, I'm waiting for the last minute"
The background is sprayed with Dylusion inks and some of the colour taken out through a stencil. I then stamped over the top with a Dylusion leaf stamp. The figures are all Dylusions and coloured with watercolour pens.
I have been away for three days on a textile workshop and am now at my daughters, so this is a scheduled post once again.
I'm looking forward to a week at home, must get some housework done for a start.

I am also entering this in Try it on Tuesdays where the theme is Time flies

Screen printed homework

One of my homework pieces for my course, all screen printed and dyed. We had to make three A3 pieces using the same theme. This is the third one, and the one with the most contrast.

Thursday journal with Neet

Neet's choice this week with the words : I'm extremely under chardonnayed" One of Dyan's made up words as my spell checker does not like it.  I have used the other half of the  double page from last week, in colours I rarely use. I have stencilled over it. I think the animals are somewhat underchardonnayed as well, she certainly looks a bit spaced out.
I am off this week so this is a scheduled post.

Art Journal Journey - Geometric shapes

On Art Journal Journey the new theme set by Alison (Craftytrog) is Geometric Shapes.
I had been spraying inks on some journal pages and was having a clean up. I saw the ink sprayed page and decided to file it in the bin. Or I could cut it up into geometric shapes and have a go at Alisons theme on AJJ. I quickly brayered the page with some turquoise paint used a circle stencil on top with orange ink, and glued the cut outs to the background. I then stamped various circles from my small bits stamp collection ( very useful for travelling)

Thursday Journal with Neet

This week I think it washy choice with the words " You would think that with all your multiple personalities, at least one would be likeable"
Once again I had trouble doing the background and ended up with a real mess. I must get some done in advance. The figures are Dylusions and painted with watercolour pens.
I was so hoping to get ahead of myself this year and once again I have taken on too much. I'm going to have a go at at least one of my art course paintings this week ( Says me hopefully). Housework , shopping and cooking do get in the way.

Tag Tuesday -- New beginnings

The first theme of the year on Tag Tuesday is New beginnings, chosen by Valerie.
We can use something new, a new technique or a new tag.
I have chosen to use a new Tim Holtz die cut that arrived too late for Christmas card making. I really wanted to use it so this was an opportunity to do so. I used a piece of corrugated card and covered it in Gesso and blue watercolour paint, and added the moose and the trees.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

This week the words are " I don't like you. You're very ugly and have no manners at all" I feel that is a bit harsh on the poor odd flamingo, who has somehow been given a short birds legs, but when you are a pretty blue bird you never know what their previous conversation was about.
