Tag Tuesday -- Book Print

For this fortnight on Tag Tuesday, the theme chosen by Sandie is Book Print. This can be a feature, or a background, as long as there is some book print on the tag. For this one I started off by tearing up some old book print and then adding some torn up pink tissue paper. I then used texture paste through a stencil. When it was dry I sprayed it with inks. I then added some stampings, feathers and some ribbon at the bottom, and a wooden butterfly.

Every Inchie Monday -- Spider

Yuk, I loath spiders, especially the large ones, lets face it, they have too many legs, and move too quickly. Not happy with either of these, the sewn one is blurred as the bead is quite bulky, and the drawn one I made a mess of and had to use an eraser which took the surface off the stampbord.

Every Inchie Monday -- Squirrel

This week I have used the red squirrel for my inchies, as I don't like our very prolific grey squirrel, who do a lot of damage. I have drawn the stampbord one and hand sewed the other. The sewn one looks a bit blurred and my scanner is playing silly beggars again. How can a bit of computer equipment have moods ???
I don't seem to have had much time at home recently and am trying to catch up on everything. The weather is awful, cold and wet, so the garden is not getting any attention either.

Tag Tuesday -- Autumn or Halloween

A few more tags for Valerie's theme on Tag Tuesday. I am also entering this on Try it on Tuesday where the theme is Halloween. Again the backgrounds are distress ink with various stampings an image and a plastic skeleton that I painted to tone in with he background.

Tag Tuesday -- Halloween

Halloween/Autumn is the theme chosen by Valerie on Tag Tuesday. I love doing Halloween and Autumn as the colours are so rich and vibrant. My tag was distress inked and the image is from Lisa's images, and die cuts.

Every Inchie Monday -- Bear

Not a very productive week for me, I just can't seem to get going with any enthusiasm. I have done some gardening though, but today the sky is a horrid yellow colour and it looks as if it might rain.
The animal this week on Every Inchie Monday is bear, and I so grateful that we don't have them roaming around the UK.
My stampbord one is shrink plastic and the sewn one the face of a really miserable one. He obviously hadn't had any honey recently.

Gosh did I struggle with the sewn one this time, and gave up at midnight. The more I messed about with it the worse it looked.

Fabric postcard

Another fabric postcard for my swap with a friend. This time the word was leaves, and I chose to do Autumn colours for mine. The base is needle felt overlaid with coloured scrim. I cut the leaves from pelmet vilene and coloured them with acrylic paint. I then machine stitched them to the base. This will be the last of the postcard swap, as we have decided to do pages for a fabric book. We are going to choose a textile artist we like and do a page on the same(ish) technique. As we will do a page for ourselves as well we will end up with two fabric books, one from each of us.

Thursday journal with Neet

This will be our last anything goes theme in our large journals. Mine is now full and we are going onto a 8" x 8" journal where we choose three colours and a word each week. Neet is off on holiday so we are taking a two week break.
I have used an already inked page and have kept to the animal theme to match the opposite page.

Tag Tuesday -- All creatures great and small

The theme on Tag Tuesday has changed to All creatures great and small for the next two weeks, this was chosen by Wilma, who has made some lovely tags to inspire us.
I have chosen to use bees as my first tag. I hope to do another one when I get back from my friends next week. I am off for a sewing few days.

This week on Every Inchie Monday the theme is Chameleon. The sewn one I used beads to get the bright colours  Not very good or neat) and the stampbord one is shrink plastic.

Another tag for Tag Tuesday on the steampunk theme. This time I used some printed paper the right side and inked the other. I stamped some images and added some cogs.
