Every Inchie Monday -- Coastline

For this challenge I have painted a coastline on the stampbord and the sewn one was sewn with great difficulty. This is my second attempt at an aerial view, as the first one just didn't look like coastline, more like a land slip.

Go Tag Thursday -- Our favourite theme

On Go Tag Thursday we choose our own favourite theme. I have two, sewing and seaside. This one is a sewing one.
I used some corrugated card and torn some of the top layer away. I painted the surface with some Fresco paints and then embossed with verdigris embossing powder. I adhered a vintage picture onto the tag and then added all the bits and pieces. The dress form is dressed with a double layer of shimmery fabric. The buttons are home made from polymer clay.

Thursday Journal with Neet

It's Halloween this time, and I used an already painted page. I stamped the ladies body and made her skirt and cape with tissue paper that I had sprayed with black ink. The hat, broom and cat are die cuts. I cut out a cauldron shape from black card. On the right is her spell room with various unsavoury objects, and a picture of her hero. There was a previously made pocket on the edge so I put in a few of her poison cards.
I think she needs to go to Specksavels as she has odd boots on. I really enjoyed making this one.

Every Inchie Monday - Pirates

I thought my previous pirate looked a bit silly without ears or hair, so I decided to give him some hair.

The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge -- V The page in my dictionary

This is my dictionary entry for The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge - V I gessoed the pages and rubbed some vintage paper distress ink over themI then stamped some vintage images. Think I got a bit carried away and did too many.

Tag Tuesday -- Halloween

Halloween is the theme this week on Tag Tuesday and I enjoyed making these. Once again I went for the contrast of black with orange. Both tags have distress inked backgrounds, sprayed with water. I have used a mixture of stamped images and die cuts. The one with the little girl I have used a stencil with some glittery texture paste.

Every Inchie Monday -- Pirates

Faces and figures I am not really good at, so I went for the smaller option of faces. My sewn one is fabric stuffed with 'stuff' and the features sewn on afterwards. It looks a bit girly to me and nothing like Jonny Depp. Mind you it wasn't supposed to look like him in the first place. The stampbord one I drew and coloured with my Staedler triples fineliners.

Go Tag Thursday -- Vintage men

A second one for this week on Go tag Thursday where the theme is Vintage men. I distress inked the background ( What would I do without distress inks !), and stamped the background before applying two images on separate card. I added some cogs to finish off.

Art Journal Journal -- Autumn

This time for Art Journal Journey I decided to do a Halloween page. I love the contrast between black and orange so went with that. The background is distress ink, sprayed with water. The tree, witch and saying are stamped. The rest are die cuts, and the pumpkins drawn by hand.

Go Tag Thursday -- Vintage men

I really enjoyed making this for Go Tag Thursday, I love doing vintage tags. I distress inked the background and stamped the images on separate card. I used crackle glaze on the face of the clock.

Thursday Journal with Neet

This time we can only use Black and White. I painted the page with Delusion black paint and used some texture paste through a leaf stencil. I then stamped the image and added it to the page. I doodled along the bottom and finished off with some white die cuts.

This one I did on the course with Dyan.

Large Autumn tag

I made this large tag 9" x 4" just because I felt like it. Having made it, it does fit in with the challenge on Stamp and Stencils which is Elements of Nature.
Elements of Nature Challenge
I am also entering this in Go Tag Thursday -- Autumn.
I die cut the leaf out of corrugated card and then embossed the leaf. I stamped the script on the actual tag which I had distress inked. I then used texture paste through a leaf stencil on the top layer (Corrugated card). I coloured the top layer  and the leaf which I had embossed with copper. I adhered the leaf to the tag and added some accent beads and a couple of black die cuts for contrast.

Art Journal Journey -- Autumn

I am so enjoying making these Autumnal pages for AJJ, here is another one. This time I lightly inked through a leaf stencil that had just arrived in the post. I then did the same with the left over card that I had die cut my small lives from., they make good impromptu stencils. I stamped the mushrooms, acorns and chestnuts and coloured them. I used glossy accents on the chestnuts to make them shiny.
I then added the die cut leaves and stamped the tree and saying.

Tag Tuesday -- Trees

Trees is the theme on Tag Tuesday. I have made two, one an Autumn and the other a winter one. Both have distress ink backgrounds. I have used die cuts for the trees and leaves, and some stamped ones on the Winter one.

Art Journal Journey -- Autumn. + Mixed Media Monthly Challenge.

Another page in my journal for the Autumn Challenge on Art Journal Journey. Really enjoying doing these for Valerie's October challenge. I distress inked the background and sprayed it with water.
I then die cut the pumpkins, and leaves, and coloured them with distress inks. The others I cut out in black card.

I am also entering this in the Mixed Media Monthly Challenge, where the mood board below inspires your work.

Every Inchie Monday -- Horizon

Now this one was a lot easier than a few of the recent ones. I painted a beach scene for the stampbord and another sea scene for the sewn one. The sea is silk with some fine stitched marks on the sea with a shiny thread and some white.

Art Journal Journey -- Indian Summer, Golden October, Autumn

On Art Journal Journey Valerie has chosen the above for the theme this month. I haven't been on this challenge for ages, but was keen to do some Autumn pages, so I have started a new journal. The journal measures 8" x 8".
I took a hint from Chrissie and scanned in some leaves from the garden on a piece of scrap paper. And added some real leaves on the finished page, plus a quote and some other papers.

Go Tag Thursday -- Autumn

For this week the theme on Go Tag Thursday is Autumn.  I love doing Autumn themed art and really enjoyed making this tag. The background is of course Distress inked and I then used some texture paste through a leaf stencil. I cut out some oak leaves and coloured them with distress ink. I then added some small acorns, a sycamore seed and a leaf from a eucalyptus tree.

The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge -- E

This is my entry in my dictionary for The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge for E. As I had a few eye stamps I decided to go with eye for this page. I also added some cut out of magazines.

Thursday Journal with Neet

This week the task was A bit of sunshine ( Include a sun). I already had a bright yellow orange page so went with that. I made a figure up with a mixture of magazine bits and some stamped images. I painted the sun with a mixture of yellow and orange Dylusion paints and made the rays with the edge of a ruler. I couldn't resist putting a daft bird on one of the mushrooms.  The photograph of the main page is a bit dark. The two scanned single pages are like the true colours.

The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge -- E

I have chosen Elephant for my tag, on The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge. I have used various real postage stamps and stamped images on a distress inked background. I have also used a friendly plastic elephant and two metal charms to hang at the base of the tag.

Go Tag Thursday -- Oriental

A quick second tag for Go Tag Thursday. This one has a distress inked background with a couple of Japanese papers at the bottom. I have added some images, butterflies, a flower and a lantern.

Tag Tuesday -- Autumn Leaves.

I love the colours of Autumn, but not the cold and mist. I enjoyed making these. All the colours are distress inks on die cut leaves. The sentiments on both tags are stamped as are the dark leaves on the shaped tag.

Go Tag Thursday -- Oriental

The theme on Go Tag Thursday this week is Oriental. This is a bit late and I have made two, so will put the other on a new post tomorrow. I started with some Japanese paper and out out some flowers with another design. I adhered a geisha picture and cut out  a curved pattern with a die cut at the bottom. I placed a coloured card underneath.

Every Inchie Monday - Direction

For the sewn one I have given directions to get to my house from the A44, The two beads in the front are a garage and a pub. The red arrows direct you to our bungalow.  For the stampbord I have drawn a signpost.

Thursday Journal with Neet

This time the theme is Red. Not the easiest of colours to use and for this page I used a page I had already inked on Dyan's workshop. I took off some of the ink through a stencil and then inked some letters in the shape of the woman with the stencil in place. I did a bit of doodling.at the bottom with a white pen. The whole thing is a bit dark, but I am quite pleased with it.

Tag Tuesday -- Autumn Colours

I have used a previously coloured tag for this which is great as I am only home for a few hours. We are helping one of my daughters set up a new marine centre and have had to start from scratch as the unit was disgusting. I have come home to bake some cakes for opening day. Off again tomorrow, actually it's later today, as I see it's nearly 1 in the morning.
