Every Inchie Monday -- Robot

I decided the easy way out this week was to draw and sew Marvin. The sewn one is on a felt background and his head and body are leather, with beads for his arms and legs, I doubt he could stand up with the wobbly legs I've given to him, and he would need to go to the robot hospital to get them sorted out. I could do with some lessons from Freebird to show me the way to sew beads on properly.

Tag Tuesday -- Industrial

A great title this week as I love time, steampunk and industrial.
I embossed the card with a rivet type sheet and rubbed on some distress ink to make it look worn. I stamped the figure on card and adhered him to the tag. I added cogs and key and stamped a few nuts and a chain to the background.

The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge -- A

For the letter A on the Craft Barn Dictionary challenge I have chosen A for Acorn. I distress inked the tag and stamped an oak tree on it. I added some metal die cuts of different oak leaves, and a real one. I also added some very tiny acorns and a die cut of one.

Every Inchie Monday -- Button

A simple one this week, well I made it simple as we have friends coming to stay. The sewn one is on some hand made and embroidered felt and the button I made with polymer clay. For the stampbord one I used my tiny flower buttons and made a flower garden.

Tag Tuesday -- Wings and words.

If I wasn't rushing around like a headless chicken, I would have found this weeks prompt easy. As it was I struggled, I think a few days in London has drained my energy and mojo. So much noise and too many people.
For this tag I distress inked the tag, and stamped a few feathers in one of the colours. The image and words were stamped on separate pieces of card. I added those to the tag, put a fabric strip of fabric music tape underneath, and found some wooden birds ready to fly off the tag.

Every Inchie Monday -- 3 Dimensional

A bit late this week, running behind with everything. For the sewn one I have felted some grass and two Fly Agaric fungi. For the stampbord one I have made two flower pots with square beads and planted two charm flowers on beaded wire stalks. They are sitting on a texture paste base. They were very difficult to photo as the day is so dull and I am still struggling with my new computer system.

Tag Tuesday -- Only Original

This week we were asked to use only our own art work, no printed papers or images.
I have used one of my own backgrounds that I made using paint and a brayer. I then used stencils on top of the layers of paint.
The flowers and leaves I made with some papers that I had printed from a gel plate, and cut out with dies.

Every Inchie Monday -- Brain

We are certainly having to use our brains for this one ( No pun intended) For the sewn one I painted some tyvek with silver paint and then heated it with a heat gun, where it shrivels up and looked I thought a bit like a brain. I sewed it to the backing and added the stem at the bottom.
For the stampbord one I have drawn a brain coral. My daughter has several of these in her reef tank.

The Craft Barn Dictionary Challenge -- J + a dragonfly.

For the letter J this week I have chosen the Jay bird. I distress inked the background and stamped a tree in a sepia ink. The Jay is responsible for many of the oak trees in Europe, as it doesn't manage to dig up all the acorns it buried for the winter.
I printed some images and added some real jay feathers and two small dragonfly charms.

Tag Tuesday -- Choose 3 B's

I was away all of last week and as soon as I came home I have spent this week working in my garden as we are opening it to the public on the two first weekends in June. Why am I putting myself through this, blowed if I know.  I am worn out and my back aches and crafting has taken back stage.
I have now managed to cobble together my tag this evening, and have made a tag full of tags using the letter b in birds, butterflies blue and brown. There are two bluets on one of the small tags as well.

Every Inchie Monday -- Monkey

This week the word monkey gave me a few headaches, and I had several attempts before I was nearly happy with the results.  The sewn one is a deformed monkey and the stampbord one is shrink plastic.
I was going to put a picture of my two year old grand-daughter 'cos she's a little monkey.
