Tag Tuesday -- On the ocean wave.
I have been away on a course and have then had my 17month old grand- daughter here for two days. I am very much lagging behind in many things, including this tag.
The background is inked and the seagulls stamped on top. I used a white pen to add texture to the water. The saying is on a separate piece of card as the first attempt I managed to do upside down. More haste less speed.

Tag Tuesday -- Out of our comfort zone
One thing I don't do very often is cut and glue and cute, so that is what I decided to do this week on Tag Tuesday. One of my friends bought me some Gorjuss things for my birthday and on the tags they went. This definitely out of my comfort zone, but only took a very short amount of time to do. I can see me using these Gorjuss things on cards for my grand-daughter.

Every Inchie Monday -- Etna
For this week the word is Etna. I have been to Mount Etna, but trying to portray it on an inch square was slightly more challenging. For the sewn one I felted some Merino wool and embroidered what I hoped would look like molten lava with embroidery silks. The stampbord one I painted and then scratched the paint away to give the lava flow.

Every Inchie Monday -- Wave
This week wave is the word. I did think about doing a wave with a hand, but my brain couldn't cope with that. So I did a sea wave, using paint on the stampbord which I then scratched some off to form the wave. For the sewn one I used tiny bits of fabric and machine stitching with some beads and French knots for the foam.

Tag Tuesday -- Fruit
I had a bit of a quandary here as we had this challenge last year, and as I only have pear stamps, I did pears again. This time I used a tag that I had coloured before and then stamped the pears and words on some separate card. I inked them with distress inks and cut them out. Don't ask why I have that many stamps for the word pear. The three leaves on the bottom pears I stamped again and put them on some foam squares to add some dimension.

Every Inchie Monday -- Pillow
The word for this week on Every Inchie Monday is pillow. Sounded simple enough until I started making a pillow and turning it inside out and stuffing it. With my arthritic hands this was not easy. Why am I doing this I asked myself. I did a bit of machine embroidery down one edge and had to admit defeat on the other edge which I tried to sew by hand. That went on the machine as well.
The stampbord one I drew a bed with the pillow.
