Thursday journal

The words this week are  'They say it takes a village. It also takes a vineyard, I believe'
This time I have inked the background with two pink distress oxides and then used the same colours through a stencil on top. The figures are coloured with coloured pencils.

Sheena and her friend Bronwen are having a pre Christmas drink before they tackle the Christmas shopping. They both live in a really nice village and shopping means a trip into the nearest city. Sheena thought her friend meant a cup of tea or coffee, but Bronwen had different ideas.

"Bronwen, I really don't want an alcoholic drink before we go shopping and what have you done with your proper Christmas tree" asked Sheena.

"Well, I just can't be bothered with one this year, so I just stuck that picture of one on the wall" Bronwen answered.

"You are just being lazy, come on before you open that bottle let's get out of the village and head for the Christmas lights in town" said Sheena.

"OK sobersides, let's go. You know they say it takes a village. It also takes a vineyard, I believe" replied Bronwen.

"That doesn't make me want an alcoholic drink if that was your reason for that comment" replied Sheena.

Thursday Journal

'I dress to kill, and cook the same way' are the words this week.

I don't think the view from Celia's window will be the same here this year. Far too wet, floods everywhere and I have hundreds bulbs to plant.

Celia has her friend Marion around for a chat and a cup of coffee. Marion is in a funny mood and very fidgety, Celia asked her was there anything wrong.

'What you mean apart from the cold snowy weather, the fact that it's nearly Christmas and I haven't bought one present or sent one card." Marion replied.

"Well why don't you go home and make a start on them, get onto Amazon for presents and buy some charity cards on your way home. The weather you can't do much about. said Celia.

"I thought I might just go home and make some mince pies or something" replied Marion.

"What dressed like that, you will get your lovely outfit covered in flour, plus the fact that you can't cook" said Celia.

"Celia, I dress to kill and cook the same way" laughed Marion, heading for the door.

Thursday Journal

The words this week are 'Up bright and early so I can get a head start on hating everything'

For my page this week I have inked a page with a stormy sky background. I then stamped some snow flakes and embossed them with silver glitter. It's years since I used embossing powder and had forgotten what a mess it makes. It's so fine it goes everywhere. I will be finding some for weeks.

I have made a Wintery scene to go with Sharons theme of Winter on Art Journal Journey

Joanna had been asked by her mum to take the dog out for a long walk to try and wear him out so that he will sleep all afternoon. Henry did insist on taking his bone with him, and kept dropping it and was  happy enough not to bother picking it up. Joanne hated taking him for long walks, she had better. things to do. She hated picking up the bone as it made her gloves all slimy and they were nearly new. Apart from that it was snowing and she hated getting cold, the snowflakes made her new outfit wet and goodness knows what her hair would look like, but it was her own fault as she didn't like hats.

"Honestly Henry I got up bright and early so I can get a head start on hating everything, I seem to be doing quite well so far' She said.
