Thursday Journal with Neet

"I don't know what your problem is, but I know it's not mine" Well that's not a problem shared by the sound of it. Astrid on the left has been having big fall outs with her parents, about what time she should be in at night, the type of boy she shouldn't be going out with and to cap it all she was to start doing her own washing and ironing. Gosh they just have to be joking she thought. She had also been in a bad mood with her friend Jayne who was very laid back, nothing seems to bother her. Perhaps she had a better relationship with her parents than Astrid did. Astrid did wonder about telling her friend all about the problems, but realised Jayne would not see them the same as her so so didn't bother. Jayne knew something was wrong and decided to forestall the expected moans by saying " I don't know what your problem is, but I know it's not mine. In other words, don't tell me, I don't want tot know.

Tag Tuesday - Music/Musical

Sandie has set the theme on Tag Tuesday this time and I am very late entering this. I just don't know where the time goes.As I don't have many music type stuff I have chosen birds whose song is fabulous to hear as dawn breaks. I coloured my card first and then used some tissue paper with music and birds on. I stamped the saying.

Paint Party Friday Wk 19 Year 11

A wren this week on Paint Party Friday. One of my favourite birds, and one of our smallest. They dart about eating insects and run along our balcony seeing if there are any nice juicy ones. One Winter two came through our open cat flap, open because our three cats are too stupid to figure out how to open one.

Thursday Journal with Neet

Last minute again. "You think it's all about you-bless your little Dylusional heart" are the words to conjure with this week, and obviously one of Dyan's. Miranda on the left has been left in charge of her cousin Martha and is finding that all is not going well. Miranda really wanted to go out with her best friend to a nice new shopping centre, but had drawn the short straw and been saddled with Martha for a whole day, while her Aunt and Uncle went to a funeral quite far away. Martha suggested a nice picnic in the country, and a short walk to the coast and look for shells on the beach. That was just about the last thing Miranda wanted to do and said as much with these words. "You think it's all about you - bless your Dylusional heart" Well Martha must have a Dylusion heart under her outfit.

I am linking this to Alison's theme on Art Journal Journey which is Summer countryside.

Paint Party Friday Week 18 year 11

A brambling this week for PPF. This lovely bird is a Winter visitor to the UK and Europe. Often flies with flocks off Chaffinch. It is a ground feeder, and we used to see them when we lived in Wales.

Thursday Journal with Neet.

I'm back to doing this at the last minute again.  "I  had my patience tested - Turns out I'm negative"  are the words this week.  Angela has offered to take her nephew and two niece out for the day to give their mum a break. The decision didn't take her long to regret. She thought a walk in the country and a sort of nature trail, picking up things of interest and learning how plants grow, and where. All three of them didn't really want to go, as they would prefer to stay home, and like most kids nowadays they wanted to play on their iPads and computers.  Angela was determined to not let that happen, but was getting very tired of the constant grumbling. They didn't even like the bees and caterpillars. When she took them back to her sister she said "I had my patience tested - Turns out I'm negative".   I used a Distress inked background that was already done, and stamped some leaves on the top Two of the heads are from Art by Marlene, but the figures are Dylusions.  "Of course your opinion matters, just not to me" are the words to work with this week. Carolynne and Sandra ( against her wishes) are having a walk in the countryside, The birds are singing, the bees are busy searching all the flowers for nectar, and Carolynne just keeps on about  how people should value nature and look after the countryside. they shouldn't have fires or dig up the plants. The conversation then went on to the deforestation happening in some countries and how some species of animals are disappearing for ever. Carolynne even has a ladybird hat, and a bee on her head.                                                                            Sandra would rather go shopping in the new undercover shopping precinct, than walk around in the country, she just couldn't see the point of it. Carolynne reached the conclusion that Sandra was not really listening to her and asked her if she agreed with all she had said. Sandra replied "of course your opinion matters, just not to me"

I am entering this on Art Journal Journey where Alison's ( Butterfly) theme is Summer Countryside.

Paint Party Friday Wk 16 Year 11

On Paint Party Friday this week I have painted a Dipper, a lovely little bird that is common along swift flowing mountain streams. It constantly bobs up and down when on rocks. It lies low in the water when swimming.

Thursday Journal with Neet

"I'm not bossy, I just know what you shouldn't be doing" Jean on the left is somewhat annoyed with Edith who has been doing something that Jean is not happy with, and has told her so. Edith has been going out with someone who is engaged to one of their friends. She has been seeing him for quite a while and their friend has no idea what is going on. Jean has been doing her best to introduce Edith to other men, but to no avail. In the end she realises that there is nothing she can do and says to Edith "I'm not bossy, I just know what you shouldn't be doing" Edith just looks the other way.
