'You think that's bad? Watch this' are the words this week. This had me thinking, it took me ages to think of a story to go with. it.
Lucy has asked her mum to come to see the tricks she had been teaching her two little dogs. She had been practicing for weeks and was hoping that they would perform well. Dash the Dachshund was not very bright and the ball was a little bit too big for him, that and the fact he didn't like all this training lark and decided to rebel.
First of all it was Mungo to perform and all he had to do was balance the ball on his nose, it wasn't easy and he wobbled about all over the place. Lucy's mum wasn't really that impressed but just said "Ok, now what"
Lucy knew her mum was not impressed and wasn't really too upset, after all Mungo was only slightly brighter than dash. Now the time had come to put both of the dogs to the test.
"OK mum, you think that's bad, watch this" Lucy laughed.
Lucy just knew Dash wasn't going to balance the ball on his nose and then toss it over to Mungo. And how right she was he just kicked the ball out of the way and went to sit in his basket. Mungo was so relieved he went and sat in the basket with Dash. Lucy and her mum had a good laugh about it afterwards.
The cat thought they were all mad.
I am linking this to Art Journal Journey where it's Mia's theme of Make your own background. Mine is a mixture of Dylusion paint and stencils.

Another fab background Wendy, and a great story to go with it. Love your Lucy and her two dogs and the figure you chose to represent her mum is very plausible (not always easy to do with what we have to use).
I'm late because I had a blood test, stood up to go and gushed blood down my arm and all over the floor and my boots. What a palaver, the phlebotomist had to mop the floor, clean me and my boots before the next patient could come in. I'm stiff armed because I've so much plaster on.

Even though it took you a long time to come up with a story with that sentence, you managed to make it so funny and brilliant. Passed with flying colors.
Now, your journal page is just as wonderful and creatively thought out, so kudos!
Hugs Elke
I loved the story you came up with. Some dogs are easier to train than others and I like how this one turned out. Even mum found humor in it. I also like the very colorful background you chose for this spread. Looks like you put several stencils to good use. It's perfect for Mia's theme at AJJ.
That's a fun story, and so true about dogs too. They aren't machines, and they often think for themselves. Good for them actually. I love your page too Wendy. That's a fun background. I love the colors and the images you added. It almost feels like a circus, and that's true when you have dogs-sometimes. Hope all has been well with you. And thanks for joining MIa's challenge at AJJ. hugs-Erika
