Thursday journal with Neet

'You think that's bad? Watch this' are the words this week. This had me thinking, it took me ages to think of a story to go with. it.

Lucy has asked her mum to come to see the tricks she had been teaching her two little dogs. She had been practicing for weeks and was hoping that they would perform well. Dash the Dachshund was not very bright and the ball was a little bit too big for him, that and the fact he didn't like all this training lark and decided to rebel.

First of all it was Mungo to perform and all he had to do was balance the ball on his nose, it wasn't easy and he wobbled about all over the place. Lucy's mum wasn't really that impressed but just said "Ok, now what"

Lucy knew her mum was not impressed and wasn't really too upset, after all Mungo was only slightly brighter than dash. Now the time had come to put both of the dogs to the test.

"OK mum, you think that's bad, watch this"  Lucy laughed.

Lucy just knew Dash wasn't going to balance the ball on his nose and then toss it over to Mungo. And how right she was he just kicked the ball out of the way and went to sit in his basket. Mungo was so relieved he went and sat in the basket with Dash. Lucy and her mum had a good laugh about it afterwards. 

The cat thought they were all mad.

 'How old do I have to be before I have any idea what's going on'  are the words this week. 

To link it to Mia's theme on Art Journal Journey of Make your own background I have used Dylusion spray inks and a Dylusion stencil.

Susie was out with her favourite Aunty Betty, her Mum's sister and they were discussing the state of the world, the evil of some people, the greed for money, and global warming, amongst other things. Betty was very concerned about the youngsters growing up with the state the planet was heading into, but didn't't want to scare the poor girl. Betty stared telling her of the lovely people she dealt with in her job and all the good they were doing working with people who were struggling with illness and poverty.

"Perhaps you might like to do something to help people when you leave school" said Betty.

"Well I want to teach, which means I will go to university and get all the qualifications"  said Susie, I think that would  help people I suppose, I'm really not sure" 

"Yes of course it will, why aren't you sure" asked Betty.

"Well I'm not sure that I  have a full  understanding of today's world, how old do I have to be before I have any idea of what's going on." Susie asked.

 'No one will ever be as entertained by us, as us' are the words this week. To comply with Mia's theme on Art Journal Journey of make your own background I have used Dylusion paint and stencils to make my background. I am trying to use the paints up as I have had them for years and they are all drying up.

Susie and Millie are identical twins, but as you can see they dress differently so their mum can tell them apart. A good idea you would think, but the twins are full of mischief and sometimes deliberately wear each other's clothes. Whilst doing this swapping clothes they also do something naughty that the other sister would do and get the usual from their mum."For goodness sake Susie, you are getting as bad as your sister, that's exactly what Millie does' 

The girls think it very funny and are always looking for things to do that will amuse their mum and dad instead of them getting into trouble. Sometimes it works but mostly it fails to amuse anyone. Their grandparents think they have the devil in them and are not amused by any of it.

The twins were discussing this one day and Millie said " No one will ever be be as entertained by us, as us, perhaps we should have a re-think and come up with different ideas that everyone will like" said Susie. The trouble is I can't think of anything"

 We have a new theme this month, from Mia who has chosen 'Make your own background' for Art Journal Journey As Neet and I join Art Journal Journey with our Thursday journal this is an easy on for us as we always make our own backgrounds for our Thursday pages.

This time I have used one of my small Dylusion journals to enable me to use one of the new dinky doll stamps from Dyan at Dylusions, they look rather lost in the large journal.

Julie has a new boyfriend Greg and although he looks very smart she is not sure about him yet. Her mum keeps saying that she doesn't really give them a chance, but Julie doesn't believe in keeping them for long if she is not totally not over the moon about them.

Greg has a good job and seems really kind and generous, but it's too soon to make any real connection with him. Julie is a bit shy and not a great believer in giving too much away at first. He is certainly good looking and seems very keen on Julie, but he is thinking that something is holding her back.

"What do I have to do to make you feel at ease" Greg asks, wondering why she is a bit unsure of him.

"Don't worry, I'm aways like this to start off, the only thing I can say is - my only advice for dating with me is, catch me while I still care"

Greg was a bit mystified by this and decided it was worth a try, he was going to make sure that she really did care for him.
